Will DeSantis impose serious tariffs on Chinese imports? My bet is not. That is a defining issue for me because manufacturing jobs are middle class jobs. And manufacturing creates more wealth than all other wealth creators combined. China has gone from very poor country to biggest economy in the world based on buying power. Manufacturing did it.

“Both of whom Trump endorsed.”
Switching the goal posts was unnecessary. McConnell and Ryan constantly led the charge against Trump.
DeSantis does not seem to have such a hassle as this - a sabotaging GOP culture in the State legislature.

DeSantis does not seem to have such a hassle as this - a sabotaging GOP culture in the State legislature.Because DeSantis does not call people names and make outrageous demands. He works with the legislature to get what he can get.
DeSantis wanted full constitutional carry and a full abortion ban, but by working with the legislature, he accepted half measures on both.
Rather than pushing "all or nothing" DeSantis settled for moving the ball in or direction on both issues, allowing them to come back at a later time and take it the rest of the way.

Trump’s flash in the pan was over 7 years ago. He has been shooting blanks ever since.

Pretty good "flash" if you ask me.

Which POTUS was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished:
- Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
- Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
- Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
- Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
- US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
- No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
- China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
- US companies were bringing home the jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
- Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated.
- Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned.
Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies?

When Covid hit, Trump became a deer in the headlights:
Trump destroyed his own economy by funding the lockdowns and mandates.
Trump started our current inflation by signing the largest spending bill in US history
Trump never stood up for liberty and freedom during the pandemic that wiped out tens of thousands of small businesses, jobs and middle class wealth.
Trump still stands by the deadly vaccines
