The Texas mall mass shooter reportedly recorded a bizarre message on his cellphone answering machine – informing his provider that he paid his bill, asking his parents for cash and telling female callers he has “plenty of money.”
Mauricio Garcia, who killed eight people and wounded seven others with an AR-15-style assault rifle at the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen on Saturday, appeared to obsess about money in the message, according to records obtained by Fox News Digital.
“Hi, this is Mauricio. If you’re the phone company I sent you the money, or if you’re my parents please send money,” he says.

I think that message is a joke and / or line I heard in a movie or on TV 30 years ago.
He was rejected by the military back in 2008 for mental illness. Shouldn’t that have stopped him from legally buying guns? Im guessing he stole them or purchased directly from an owner who never checked anything.
So we learn this information less than 48 hours after this shooting, but we may never find out what is in the manifesto from the transsexual shooter of the Christian school in Nashville.
It makes me wonder, how are decisions made about what information to release, about and people who commit crimes.
And is there selective release of information , to create certain Impressions about such people.
That message is one of those odd, old things called a “joke”. In humorless 21st Century America, it must indeed seem “bizarre”.

Talk about a cover up! There is virtually NOTHING on that. 7 immigrants killed, probably all illegals.

If this guy was thrown out of the service for “mental illness”, how did he pass the NICS check when buying an AR15. Did he acquire his firearms legally?* Did the US military fail to report his discharge for mental problems to the BATF? If we are going to have these systems, the government itself had better hold up its end on reporting lunatics. They have failed before, and I bet they did again. What was Mauricio’s source of funding?
*Presumably he could have bought firearms legally in private party transactions. Then you get into how the seller came to have the firearms.
