Former President Donald Trump previewed his Wednesday night town hall event with CNN by contending the network is “rightfully desperate” to get ratings up again.
“I’ll be doing CNN tomorrow night, LIVE from the Great State of New Hampshire, because they are rightfully desperate to get those fantastic (TRUMP!) ratings once again,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday, previewing the event.
The former president said CNN “made me a deal I couldn’t refuse” and pondered if this could mark the beginning of a “New & Vibrant CNN.”

Hey Chicago you are missing something. Too many of us think he’s going into the lion’s den. If I were one of the lion’s I’d be afraid. Just think CNN needs this more than Trump and while it does him no good to diss them in that forum just think how a subtle dig or two(or 3) could get the independents to think he’s not such an over.

Last, he could show a sense of humor. Humanize himself to the haters out there. Disarm the hard leftists. A chance to explain the abortion issue the GOP leadership is afraid to address.

We live in two different worlds.
There’s more. He won’t have to turn the other cheek like W cowardly did. Just show a firmness and resolve a la Reagan.
He could point out other shortcomings of the republicans. Acknowledge the unipary element and let them know he’s fighting it. Notice how RFK Jr. is using that tactic vs. Fauchi and the deep state?

Anybody that watched Youngkins’ town hall the other day can see what a pussy he is. Not presidential material. Trump won’t go there.
The CNN audience that Trump will finally be directly addressing without a filter is all anti Trump.

You know, while I tend to agree, the truth is I have said that so many times since 2015, and I've been proven wrong, every single time.

Agreed. Assuming he does those things, he’ll introduce himself to many voters who might decide that he’s worth their vote.
Well, if you think about it, there was sure no upside to some of the people he surrounded himself with when he was POTUS that’s for sure.
I hope he’s not doing this because he’s getting bad advice from another poor personel decision. 😏
Kind of a catch 22 in that situation. He had to rely on a Republicrat Senate to confirm his choices. I guarantee he was given a list of acceptable appointments. Any others wouldn't get through.
Once again he’s not afraid. He should do the next one on FOX in a room full of blacks-the one subject being race. Let a hispanic like Juan Williams be the host. Juan is ‘evenhanded’ enough.
The other networks should invite Biden to do the same as a followup but the POTUS has a job to do. Put it out there for ANY democrat in the leadership class. Schumer, Durbin. The ‘I’m with you’ schtick will only go so far. No now will watch that one but it puts the lefty on it’s heels.
My idea would set up one of the 3 presidential debates on the race subject alone. We should not be afraid.
They will love the ratings but still will trash Trump
