Disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok appeared to take a victory lap Monday while reacting to the release of Special Counsel John Durham’s report on the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation.
Strzok, who was fired from the FBI in 2018 following the surfacing of anti-Trump texts he sent his then-lover, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, took to social media after the report’s release, listing multiple individuals who ultimately faced federal charges stemming from the Russia investigation.
In his tweet, Strzok listed the names of nine individuals, including former Trump 2016 campaign chairman Paul Manafort and advisor Roger Stone, and noted that six of them were found guilty of their charges, two were found not guilty, and one remains wanted by the FBI.

So, lemme get this straight. Six individuals lives were ruined not for committing real crimes, but crimes in connection with an investigation (lying to the FBI, acting as a foreign agent, etc.) that should HAVE NEVER BEEN LAUNCHED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

As for Strzok himself, he should take note of his own intellectual failures.
From both a practical and a moral perspective, the choice to lie is always stupider than the corresponding choice to tell the truth. This goes for all who present themselves as something they’re not.

Whenever I see that animated gif of Strzok, I realize that there exists a tiny subset of humanity that actually deserves to be raped in prison. And that the government seems to employ a lot of them.
People like Strzok and that idiot Scarborough on MSDNC just can’t admit to anyone and, likely, themselves that they were either completely wrong, or actively lying about the bogus Trump/Russia scam, or both.
