Activists are demanding reparations for land in the Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles that currently sits under Dodger Stadium, part of a broader movement across California that has focused thus far on African Americans.
The New York Times reported Wednesday on “the growing call for reparations from descendants of the people who lived where Dodger Stadium was built.” It cited reporting earlier this month by Jesus Jiménez, who wrote:

Though it was resisted, it looks like the land was condemned through legal processes in eminent domain, meaning fair value was paid to the homeowners as established by law

They should demand reparations from the Pelosi estate for the land confiscated and used as vineyards by the family wine business. All profits from the sale of the land and all wine sales since the Pelosi occupation should be returned to indigenous brown people of Napa Valley.

Why did they stop with the Chavez Ravine? Why not just demand payment for all the land mass of California? After all, there is enormous precedent: we have paid Spain, France, Russia and Mexico for some good chunks of land. Why not pay all these aggrieved parties for their land, too?
I won’t hold my breath, but if white folks ever had a belly full of this crap things would change very quickly.
