Yevgeny Prigozhin, the chief of Russia’s Wagner mercenary group, on Thursday accused regular Russian army units of pulling back 570 meters north of the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, leaving his own fighters’ flanks exposed.

Prigozhin, who has repeatedly accused Russia’s top military brass of not doing enough to back his men, asked the defense ministry to do all it could to protect Bakhmut’s flanks after what he alleged was a withdrawal.
“Unfortunately, units of the Russian defense ministry have withdrawn up to 570 meters to the north of Bakhmut, exposing our flanks,” Prigozhin said in a voice message.
“I am appealing to the top leadership of the Ministry of Defense - publicly - because my letters are not being read,” Prigozhin said.
“Please do not give up the flanks,” he said, addressing Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Valery Gerasimov, chief of the General Staff.

I would imagine some Russian Army commanders see Wagner units as big a threat as the Ukrainian units. Each (Wagner, Russian military units) is competing for artillery support and ammo, of a limited nature.

There was not a genocide of Russian speakers. Nor is repeating this lie over and over again going to make it true. All it does is show how unjustifiable the Russian invasion is that there must be the resort to such a lie. How many Ukrainians, and Russians, have died because of Putin's grandiose ambition. It is time for this madness to stop and for the Russians to go home.

Nonsense. Most of those where in 2014 when Russia first invaded. Estimated 10.9k of those were soldiers on both sides. After Minsk 2 accords the deaths dropped. After Minsk 2 the number of civilian deaths - which included ukrainian speakers, was in the low hundreds. So
There was no “genocide” and thus no rational based on that to invade.
