Calling this reaction a “boycott” is probably a mistake. For most people who drink Bud Light (like the frat boy types), one cheap beer is pretty much as good as another. If A-B rubs your face in some woke bull-pucky and you decide to drink something else because of that, you’ve really got no reason to go back to Bud Light.
Now maybe if they made a really prominent, abject apology for even getting near this clownish “influencer”, and then publicly fired everyone even remotely involved in that fiasco, they might resuscitate the Bud Light brand.
But that will never happen - and I don’t think they’ll really care all that much. They’ll let Bud Light die, and repurpose its brewing equipment for some other bilge, maybe with a new name and big advertising push.

You're being too nice. It's horrible beer. It is, or should be, an embarrassment to the brewing industry.
American beer drinkers:

Many active in sports
Many active in life
Many married, family folks
Many young superstars at whatever they choose to do
Many faithful to their favorite brand

I agree. They will never apologize. It wouldn’t be taken seriously if they did now anyone. They only thing they could have done to stop the back-lash against the brand would have been to fire those responsible, disavow the trans-GIBLET movement, and apologize on April 2nd. It too late to do that now. Besides the ESG enforcers would come down heavily with pressure on their institutional investors.
I also agree that they will just rebrand the Bud Light beer, introduce it to the market at a reduced price in hopes to draw in those previous drinkers, and gradually raise the price once people have gotten in the habit of buying that brand of beer.
This is a beer that always competed on price not quality. Maybe if the beer itself were any good they’d try using that for leverage. As it is they have nothing.
Woke capitalism is working out very well for Bud Light. /s

What’s amazing to me is that they stock price hasn’t taken a far worse face plant. BUD has only dropped about 11% since the start of April and Inbev NV has dropped about 7%. BUD is currently trading at $58.71 and I’m thinking that it should have gone under $50 by now... Yes I know that Bud Light is just one brand under A-B but the fact that other brand sales are also down says this is a far more widespread problem for A-B than perhaps one would think...
This one is easy. Bud light has made itself into sissy f@ggot tranny beer, and no man wants to be associated with that.
Men will remember because this particular beer has been linked with being weak and effeminate. It is now "sissy" beer. Men won't drink sissy beer and they won't forget it is sissy beer.
They used to have great marketing for a so so beer. With woke marketing they can’t even give it away.

Exactly right. Those marketeers left BL when AB was sold and their boss recently stated that what it took them 20 years to build was destroyed in a week. What's left has nowhere near the talent that the old team had. And right now they could use it.
Target is next.

The local oil and gas company I work for is all red blooded ‘Mericans. Maybe you meant corporations.
The one in our town is next to the Walmart. This is a very red Texas county. I have not noticed a decrease in the number of cars at Target. From what I can gather, snooty metrosexual-types shop there so they don’t have to associate with the Walmart clientele. And they will gladly pay an extra 20% to do so.
