LARRY JOHNSON ON THE AFTERMATH OF BAKHMUT
Sonar 21 ^ | 23 May 2023 | Larry Johnson

Posted on 05/23/2023 8:09:28 PM PDT by Kazan

Judge Napolitano arrived safely in Switzerland and, thanks to the miracle of the internet, was able to do his show as scheduled. We discussed Bakhmut and the Ukrainian raid on Russia’s border near Belgorod. The West is desperate to avoid having any meaningful discussion or review of the Battle of Bakhmut because it was such a massive loss. Think about it — a small “private” paramilitary force backed by former Chef with no military experience, forced Ukraine’s NATO-trained and supplied Army to retreat.

This is a very important point. Conventional military doctrine stipulates that an army attacking an entrenched force will need at least three times more soldiers than the defending force.. Looks like Russia is very unconventional. The Wagner Group’s 32,000 fighters defeated a Ukrainian force that employed over 120,000 troops, inflicting 70% casualties on the Ukrainians. Russia is writing new chapters for military academies and war colleges on how to attack and defeat a numerically superior force entrenched in fortifications. Russia was not fighting Afghan shepherds or Iraqi tribesmen armed with AK-47s. It faced off with a NATO proxy force, equipped with modern weaponry, and beat it. There is not enough lipstick in the world to paint this pig and make it look pretty.

It certainly was a bloody battle.

Wagner lost a whole lot of fighters.

My guess is in the tens of thousands.

My estimate is the Russian losses were twice the Ukrainian losses.

My estimate is the Russian losses were twice the Ukrainian losses.

But, the Russians won bragging rights and a piece of insignificant territory, and filled with a lot of dead Russian bodies, which makes that land even less valuable. But, the rotting bodies will provide food for grasses and trees and maggots. Bigger problem for the Russians is that, they won't be holding that area for much longer.

Ukraine lost at 50-120,000 in what used to be Bakhmut against what wasn't even the regular Russian military.

Bakhmut is a graveyard.

Ukraine has absolutely NO chance of gaining back any territory. How many more Ukrainians do you want to see die in war Ukraine can't win?

Insignificant? Then why did Zelensky say this in December before Congress:

"The fight for Bakhmut will change the trajectory of our war."

I love it when neocons show up. It's so easy to make them look stupid.

When is that Ukrainian spring offensive going to get started? What’s holding it back?

Paul Ryan is the best Eddie Munster. He’s an expert in selling out to the highest bidder.

Going to be interesting to see how those big thermobaric weapons the Russians have work on the Ukrainians.

Also it's going entertaining how long all the F16's are going to last. They should just keep them on weather balloon duty.

.

"The missile itself Is prized for its very long 400km range, large 60kg warhead, and Mach 6 speed. This has provided a strong edge over the U.S. Air Force’s top air to air missile the AIM-120D, which although much smaller and better suited to fighter sized aircraft, has a much more modest 160km range, 20kg warhead and Mach 4.5 speed.

Subsequently the British conservative outlet The Conversation reported in mid-February that “The Russian MiG-31 and Su-57 operating the R-37M long range hypersonic missile have engaged Ukrainian aircraft at a range of over 200kms from the safety of Russian airspace,” providing the clearest report of how the new Russian fighters were contributing to anti aircraft operations. The Su-57 is thus the only fifth generation fighter to have seen air to air combat against enemy fighters, and moreover appears likely to have done so against relatively high end fourth generation fighters such as Su-27s."

More on Su57

Johnson was a CIA analyst for 4 years and then worked for the State Department, but you go ahead and judge his information based on his appearance. Meanwhile, Ukie trolls orbit the information provided by CIA asset Denys Davidov and I haven’t seen any Ukie trolls comment on his appearance or qualifications....

Yeah, I bet he can't play the piano with his penis either like military expert Zelensky who constantly overrules his Generals.
