Former intelligence officer David Charles Grusch said the US and other nations are also engaged in top-secret operations that attempt to 'reverse-engineer' the pieces to create weapons.
But Grusch also claims that the information has been illegally withheld from Congress as the government tried to hide the finds, which are involved in an '80-year arms race' to take advantage of the technology.
He told The Debrief: 'We are not talking about prosaic origins or identities. The material includes intact and partially intact vehicles.
'The existence of complex historical programs involving the coordinated retrieval and study of exotic materials, dating back to the early 20th century, should no longer remain a secret.'
Grusch, who served in Afghanistan and worked for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), has handed over details of the alleged operations to Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General.
He has also filed a complaint against the Department of Defense and claims he's been ostracized for his decision to blow the whistle.
The 36-year-old worked on the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force from 2019-2021.
He also told News Nation that the US has part of 'non-human origin technical vehicles'.
'Call it spacecraft if you will. It's probably not the right parlance. But no kidding, non-human exotic origin vehicles that have either landed or crashed.'

Probably true, also probably true that the Russians and Chinese are doing the exact same reverse engineering on materials they have recovered. If you watch some of the documented footage released by DOD it becomes quite obvious that the unknown craft in the videos are using some sort of propulsion and navigation far advanced to what we have currently. Whichever superpower mimics this technology first, will have a huge tactical and technological advantage over their adversaries. We would be foolish to not try to reverse engineer this technology. It may be impossible to duplicate if the materials required do not exist on this planet and cannot be fabricated with the materials we do have available.
