Just be racism or climate change
I remember the tire fire that destroyed a big chunk of 95. Someone had been disposing of tires for years and when they were set on fire it just destroyed the elevated highway. Very unpleasant driving conditions ensued for months.
Is that the Northeast? Driven that section many a time intro Center City, years ago. Can’t remember the specific area though.
This is why I used to take the Jersey Turnpike! Avoid Filthydelphia.
AGAIN???? Didn’t this happen about 20 years ago? Philly ground to a halt for MONTHS (years?) over something EXACTLY LIKE THIS?
Did anyone notice?
How many crack heads were smushed?
An old neighbor of mine drove a gas tanker in the 1970’s. One day he had brand new tires installed. Later that day, a brand new front tire exploded and he rolled the semi full of gas on I-75. Long story short, the fire melted the freeway and his company had to buy 1/4 mile of freeway.
Freeways in ‘Rat controlled Urban Utopias be racis’, sexist and transphobic.....
When i85 north collapsed in Atlanta, driving in the city became exponentially more of a nightmare. This was in March of 2017
Even some liberal friends in the city have Trump a little credit for getting the repairs done so quickly. Originally, it was supposed to be complete in June of 2017.
Due to a $3m bonus structure, the highway reopened in mid May.
Frankly, it was stunning that the government actually did something right.
I’m going to reserve judgment until we learn more about the driver.
Hope it fell on a homeless camp
No problem.
We’ll just pass another trillion dollar infrastructure bill. That’ll fix it.
Caused by climate change……
That’s going to put a crimp into the north south corridor. I always stay away from ‘95 when I go to FL. 80 mph, 3 feet apart is not fun anymore. If I want that I will just drive to Boston.
1. Philly traffic is going to be a mess tomorrow morning! (If it isn't already today.)
Of course that is how I get to work.
