Russia's improved weaponry and tactics pose challenges to Ukraine's counteroffensive
The Associated Press via Yahoo ^ | June 12th, 2023 | Unattributed (nobody wants the stink on them)

Ukrainian troops are probing Russian defenses as spring gives way to a second summer of fighting, and Kyiv's forces are facing an enemy that has made mistakes and suffered setbacks in the 15-month-old war. But analysts say Moscow also has learned from those blunders and improved its weapons and skills.

Russia has built heavily fortified defenses along the 1,000-kilometer (600-mile) front line, honed its electronic weapons to reduce Ukraine's edge in combat drones, and turned heavy bombs from its massive Cold-War-era arsenal into precision-guided gliding munitions capable of striking targets without putting its warplanes at risk.

The changing Russian tactics along with increased troop numbers and improved weaponry could make it challenging for Ukraine to score any kind of quick decisive victory, threatening to turn it into a long battle of attrition.

U.S. Joint Chiefs chairman Gen. Mark Milley said in an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday that while Ukraine's military is well-prepared, as time goes on, "this will be a back-and-forth fight for a considerable length of time.”

Most attention last week focused on catastrophic flooding in southern Ukraine caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka dam that both sides blame on each other.

At the same time, however, Ukrainian troops have unleashed a series of attacks in several parts of the front that so far have made only marginal gains against multilayered Russian defenses.

Here's the AP/MSM breaking the truth to the Ukrainian loyalists...slowly.

It looks like Russia is handing Ukraine their ass on the battlefield.

So which is it? For the past year, we were consistently told the russkies are running out of ammo and their soldiers were weak, untrained, and a bunch of convicts, and had to use shovels in combat.

This is what I hate about propaganda. I get secrecy in war, but the constant lies have created a momentum of their own that has crashed into hard reality and they STILL pretend.

They are, Ukraine has yet to make it past Russia’s preliminary defense line, there are 3 others in key areas. The New Atlas with Brian Berletic covered this on YouTube a day or so ago, 27:02 min long, everything is referenced below the video:

Russkie propaganda is to trick, confuse and fool us.

American propaganda is also to trick, confuse and fool us. Its all about “managing the narrative” of a fantasy outcome that any rational person could see was nonsense back in Feb. ‘22. It is intended to deceive American voters and little to do with deceiving the russkies.

So, how do the Russians get improved weaponry in 15 moths that they didn’t have in the past?

It takes time to develop and build new weapons. Methinks that their ‘improved’ weapons are the same as what they had before.

In any case, it seems that the Ukrainians are getting results with their current counteroffensive, ‘new’ Russian weaponry notwithstanding.

Even Ukrainian battlefield victories are defeats for them. Putinists and their duped fellow travelers never miss an opportunity to claim victory. LOL.

We have some names, after further digging:

Associated Press writers Danica Kirka in London, Tara Copp in Normandy, France, and Yuras Karmanau in Tallinn, Estonia, contributed.

Note that not ALL the guilty parties are named.

Obama 2016: “They (Russia) are a smaller country, they are a weaker country, their economy doesn’t produce anything that anybody wants to buy except oil and gas and arms. They don’t innovate.”

John McCain 2015: "Russia is a gas station masquerading as a country," It's kleptocracy. It's corruption. It's a nation that's really only dependent upon oil and gas for their economy, and so economic sanctions are important."

Jake Sullivan 2016: "Vladmir Putin just confirmed that Donald Trump is carrying Russia's water with his pro-Putin wish list of policies, and Trump will go through with it."

these are your "leaders" America.

Wars are dynamic you look at countries...adaptability is key all their assumptions have failed(sanctions effects etc) and Ukraine as stepped in it...before the country is dissolved and becomes a Russian territory..they better start negotiating...as only a NATO direct intervention will change their downward trend-line, which will lead to world war...and all bets are off who win’s if there is such a thing.

While we have been spending the years bragging about how great we are and pushing a wokey gay and transgender military while setting race fires, open borders, and self destruction inside our own country, Russia and China have been preparing for what they knew was coming their way.

Very sad that we have turned the US over to the UN and the NWO.

Ukraine has had like $50 billion in weapons dumped on it by the U.S. alone, and their glorious army is still letting a foreign nation you yourself is saying is performing poorly occupy its own turf after well over a year, and is still struggling heavily to push them out to this day?

I don’t know man, sounds like Ukraine sucks.

The west fails to listen to Vlad- he has repeatedly stated “ he hasn’t started”, the west fails to listen, then 24/7 missile attacks across Ukraine, then he reaches into his tool box and pulls out glide bombs, decimating Ukie forces, then destroys most all of Ukies AD, no one listens, then he has to tighten the screws, saving his “ best” like S-500 and S550’s for the day NATO crosses the lines….if you haven’t gotten it yet, he has a full toolbox , with many tools not yet used….all the while the West and Ukraine are spent….

The biggest defeat for rUSSRia is their inability to replace the vehicles, ships, supplies, and ammunition left over from the glory days of the USSR.

Not to mention the slow motion disaster of demographics where dead rUSSRian soldiers won’t be replaced. And where no one wants to move to rUSSRia then immigrants won’t fill billets in the cannon fodder ranks of the Red Army.

Honestly the US is in the same boat.

Our Navy is approaching half the size it was in the late 80s. The Air Force the same.

We are actively now recruiting immigrants to enlist in the Armed Forces. You could just replace USA with Russia in your post.
