The deeply failing state of Illinois lost nearly 150,000 citizens to other states, many to Florida and Tennessee, but even more to neighboring states including Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
Despite the claims of the Land of Lincoln’s government and Democrat state officials, data from the U.S. Census Bureau, U-Haul, and other sources reveal that Illinois has lost many thousands more citizens than it has gained over the last several years.

Does this number include the killed by gunshot in Chicago? If so, that’s significantly fewer who moved out alive.
My wife is from Illinois and most of her family still lives there.
The younger Illinois professionals have gotten good degrees and good jobs in Indiana and will not return to Illinois.
Many seniors go to Texas or Floriduh for the winters.
I would not be surprised to see the older family members living in Floriduh or Texas for the winters and back to Illinois in the late spring.
Many of their older family members lived in the two areas based on seasonal temps, decades ago.
The Chicago mobsters and Springfield mobsters will drive everyone out of state.

Rural areas of Illinois, California and New York are emptying out. Many conservatives have given up and are moving to areas with mote favorable policies.

Some parts of Northwest Indiana are quite nice, the track homes going up in those areas though, complete garbage and overpriced.
Yep. It’s pretty frustrating, because IL outside of Cook County is very working-class and Conservative.
I’ve driven down-state there millions of times. The state is sitting on one of the largest coal and natural gas reserve in North America.
I just saw a tourism commercial for Illinois. Bwahahahaha. Yeah, like I’d go there again.

I know able-bodied people who moved to Illinois because they have the best welfare benefits.
