Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) endorsed mask mandates for two-year-olds in remarks on the House floor on Wednesday, cautioning toddlers should have been “required” to mask up as coronavirus spread across the country.
He further declared parents who refused to do so engaged in “child abuse.”
“Two-year-olds should have been required to wear masks,” Nadler said. “It would be child abuse for parents not to do that because there was no vaccination available for two-year-olds.”

Why mask children going forward, when children in particular were relatively unaffected by the ‘rona?
As much as I despise this politician for his behavior I recall that his wife was seriously ill (cancer?) a while back and hope she made a recovery.
Nadler was not unchallenged; Chip Roy ripped him a new one, I wish I could find the text of Roy’s response on the House floor so y’all could see.
This is a widely held belief among liberals I know.

I think Mr. Nadler should upgrade his own mask to a completely non-permeable one- virions can’t get through if there’s no holes at all!- and wear a plastic bag over his head.
They were nearly completely un affected. Almost zero % chance of death for kids. Only the rare child died from the rona. Yet the left argue that it wasn’t about protect8ng the kids, but protect8ng thr patents and grandparents from catching it from the kids- but the fact is that almost everyone who caught rona was wearing a mask when they caught it due to asinine mask rules at the time.
