During an interview set to air on Friday’s edition of “The Issue Is,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) argued that cities are leaving San Francisco because they’re “struggling to recover from the pandemic” and “struggling with the macroeconomic shifts,” there are “issues related to Walgreens and others that have shut down all across this country. Everything in San Francisco, again, gets colored in and it’s made 10x bigger.” But there are “challenges” in the city that have necessitated sending the National Guard and California Highway Patrol into the city.

And, everybody don’t forget, it was Newsome that started the corruption when he was mayor.
So businesses don’t want to set up shop in areas where prosecuting shoplifters is considered racism, drug use and homelessness are rampant, and rents are still high? Color me shocked.
SF politics has been corrupt for well over a century.
When I was volunteering for the SF Republicans in the 90s (they used to exist) the old timers would tell stories about the Moscone-Barbagelata election of 1975, won for the Democrats by none other than Jim Jones (the Cool-Aid in Guyana guy) using his horde of cultists as “flying voters” to steal the election.
It was later documented in “Season of the Witch”, David Talbot. Highly recommended.
The events around that nexus explain Democrat dominance (big money shifted to the Democrats), the careers of Willie Brown, Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, and Newsom.
