A New Zealand high school maths teacher has had his teaching license cancelled for refusing to call his Year 10 student by her preferred name and pronouns.
The New Zealand teaching council’s Complaints Assessment Committee charged the teacher with serious misconduct for not calling the student by a male name and he/him pronouns, a charge the teacher denies.
“I have been accused of serious misconduct and deny this charge,” he wrote in his submission to the Teacher’s Tribunal (pdf).
“On the contrary, I believe I would be guilty of serious misconduct and child abuse if I was to call the girl in my year-10 class by a boy’s name as I was compelled to do.”
In February 2021, the teacher arranged a meeting with his student and stated that transitioning went against his beliefs and values as a Christian and refused to agree to the student’s suggestion to use her preferred name while continue using she/her pronouns.

I agree. As I said elsewhere, our nation is self-sorting at the moment. Conservatives are abandoning liberal cities and states and moving to areas where there is more freedom and they can associate with like-minded people. Progressives are leaving conservative states and relocating to areas where they can get abortions on demand, do drugs without repercussion, and limit the free speech of others.
A parallel society may be the result of the self-sorting.

How in the blazes is anyone supposed to be able to remember all the “preferred pronouns”, when all these genders are proliferating at a rate that would put cockroaches to shame?
Biology only recognizes two genders, determined by either XX for female, or XY for male. No other formations or iterations are possible, or at least not until something like extra chromosomes are an option, and that has almost always resulted in some kind of mutant with limited viability, and unable to reproduce anyway. The only possible path to “transgender” is male to neuter, or female to neuter, and neither is reversible. A complete transition shall never be made using known technology, and even if the technology is ever developed, there are innumerable obstacles to ever making such a transition result in a viable subject at the end.
My question is, “Why?”
A lot of childish and silly sh*t going on in New Zealand. Just call the “student” sh*thead and call that good. Screw his list of pronouns.
Wow, that line is straight out of Mao’s Cultural Revolution or Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge. The next step is re-education camps and wanton murder.
This teacher's crime is that he's disobeying the government directive that these patients with untreated Gender Dysphoria and Autogynephilia are to be pandered to, not helped with their illness.
Was the student identifying as a house fly. Demanded a pile of poo to land on in the classroom.
