When you have unserious people in positions of power, a bad decision can mean hardship and death.
Why would I trust any opinion coming from CNN about the GOP?
And here's a thought...If there's no way Trump could win the general election and he would be the ideal candidate that the Dems would want as the Republican nominee, the WHY are they engaging in unlimited lawfare to stop him?

My guess is it won’t help.
Trump is now a very well known person, and a majority of Americans won’t vote for him.
And what’s much more important, a majority of people in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona won’t vote for him.
In Pennsylvania in 2022 they preferred a brain-damaged Democrat to the Trump-endorsed candidate for Senator.
And in Georgia they reelected their Republican governor but defeated the Trump-endorsed Senate candidate.
Unfortunately, Paul Begala is very likely correct.

Begala’s concern for the Republican prospects is touching.
It would be a “Catastrophe” for the RINO/ESTABLISHMENT/UNIPARTY to be sure.
The GOP needs taken back from the folks who have ruined it, this guys just telling the truth from his perspective, he likes the corrupted GOP that exists today.
President Trump is the only Republican presidential candidate who can clean up the republican party’s RINO/uniparty mess. Fair and honest elections are a must and Trump is the only candidate talking about doing something about it. Of course the dc criminal cabal doesn’t want Trump back in the WH.
