Former New York state Democrat Sen. Alessandra Biaggi took to social media Friday to discuss the pricey student loans she had amassed during law school, despite purchasing a $1.14 million home last summer.
"In 2012, I graduated from Fordham Law School with $180,000 is student loan debt," Biaggi wrote in a tweet. "I’ve been paying loans for 11 years. Even paid two of them off completely."
"In 2023, my balance is $206,000," added Biaggi, who represented New York's 34th district during her three-year tenure in the state Senate.

I understand you totally. Because I did similar jobs washing dirty utensils in University of Iowa hospital to help me finish master’s degree at university of Iowa.
BCM had a degree from Fordham.
My kids at university of Washington had friends who went on vacations using college loan money.
I have 5 children and paid for undergrad for all of them. Some had to borrow for professional school but that’s their debt and there are ways to pay it back by service. That’s their choice.
The reason she went to Fordham law school instead of the College of East Shitehole is because she would earn more money with the prestigious degree. So shut up and pay up.
She grabs money to make a fortune, but willing to screw the government for a free ride. Entitlement has no boundries!
If she borrowed $180,000 and has been paying all along, even “paying off two of them”, how is her balance $206,000?
