Far-left Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) used Independence Day not to celebrate the ideals, risks, and sacrifices that led to the success of the great American experiment but to demand “reparations now.”
July 4, the celebration of American independence and reminder of the revival of the very “Spirit of 1776,” appeared to be a dismal day for the leftist congresswoman, who seemingly dismissed the risks taken by the Founding Fathers and, rather, used the opportunity to demand reparations.
“The Declaration of Independence was written by enslavers and didn’t recognize Black people as human. Today is a great day to demand Reparations Now,” Bush remarked.

Gee, I’d like to see how the likes of her would have lived under Mugabe or Amin and such others in Africa in recent years. You certainly do not have to condone slavery as it existed in America, but the Founders had a lot more regard for humans than the aforementioned names.
Reparations. When your black base is slipping because of other Dem proposals, toss out reparations to bring them back.

With today’s culture influencing our black communities, that reparation money will go into the illegal drug industry with more drug addiction. The increased gun violence in that community is a symptom of the increased presence of the Drug Cartels with their increased supply of drugs from the south.

They might have owned slaves but they were not the enslavers. The enslavers were other black tribes in Africa.
The taxpayers should demand reparations from the nearly 50% of US inhabitants that have paid zero federal income tax for all these years. They OWE US!

Once again, they haven’t thought this through. Reparations are done to leave the plaintiff in a position of financial indifference. I’ve posted my calculations here before, but the end result is: Comparing black US incomes (with slavery) compared to black African incomes (without slavery) means that every black owes US non-blacks a little over $640,000 each. (This is a present values analysis for 157 years with a discount rate of 5%.)
I’m not sure where I should file for my share.
