A national defense analyst says NATO and the West need to pay attention to Russia’s repeated warnings about using nuclear weapons, this time from a notable academic who concludes Russia must consider nukes to stop NATO expansion and to “save humanity” from the West.
“Russia and its leadership seem to be facing a difficult choice,” begins the academic paper by Sergei Karaganov. “It becomes increasingly clear that a clash with the West cannot end even if we win a partial or even a crushing victory in Ukraine.”
That frightening document, which published in late June, goes on for another 2,900 words to conclude using “God’s weapon of Armageddon” will prevent – not create – a worsening crisis in Europe. "The enemy must know," he writes, "that we are ready to deliver a preemptive strike in retaliation for all of its current and past acts of aggression in order to prevent a slide into global thermonuclear war."
The word "nuclear" is used 27 times and "nuclear weapon" is used 10 times by Karaganov, a historian and political scientist.

China’s Xi warns Putin not to use nuclear arms in Ukraine
Chinese leader Xi Jinping made his most direct criticism yet of Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine on Friday, warning the Russian president not to resort to nuclear weapons and calling on visiting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to push for peace talks.
Xi’s warning comes just over a month after Putin threatened Ukraine with a nuclear attack, a sign of how far Ukrainian forces had rocked the Kremlin with their advances against invaders in the East.
The international community, said Xi, should “jointly oppose the use of, or threats to use, nuclear weapons,” according to a statement carried by Xinhua, China’s state news agency. The world should also “advocate that nuclear weapons cannot be used, a nuclear war cannot be waged, in order to prevent a nuclear crisis” in Europe or Asia, Xi added.

Putin setting off nukes? Well I say never underestimate Joe Biden to massively f-up everything. It may seem like Putin would never use nukes but then you have to consider the Biden factor and you can see how it is very possible for the nukes to fly.
Then we will get a press conference from Biden like this
“Today Putin launched...you know...the thing, God save the Queen man”
Give the democrats and biden a little time. If they are unable to cheat to make the election fair, in their eyes and minds, biden and the democrats may use the nukes on Americans to even the score. When someone is 100% sure something can or in this case can’t happen, it makes me believe the reverse is entirely possible.
If this so-called Ukrainian Counteroffensive continues to show no progress or outright collapses, I predict there will be calls from the War Crowd in Washington for the use of American Ground Troops.
It’s absolute insanity to think nuclear weapons usage is a real possibility, it’s also insane to me to think we would be on the verge of WW III over Ukraine.
However remote it might be the use of nuclear weapons is a real possibility.

A preemptive strike will result in a massive retaliation.
It really comes down to use or lose (for your own weapons) at that point.
If you people only knew how quickly we'd know even before a single missile is fired that we're being attacked. It won't start with a mushroom cloud, but only end up with a forest of them everywhere.
Every nation with nukes will use there arsenals to prevent losing their own weapons to their own enemies. China would be hit and hit back, India and Pakistan, France and the UK would fire, North Korea would be hit and also strike. There are conditions (such as an assassination, bombing or strike on the command authority (meaning the President and the officer with the "football")) where a strike/strikes can be launched without approval. Submarines, cut off from communications, would fire also, some possible weeks later, if not tracked down and sunk. Expect the global chaos to prevent that finding them.
Karaganov, a historian and political scientist, doesn't have a clue as to what forces the world has ready to go.
All the nuclear weapons Russia has are not ready to go. More than half (and this applies to the USA also) are not mated to a delivery system or are in storage or various conditions of maintenance from replacing electronics to degraded or unstable atomic components. The numerical difference of nuclear weapons between Russia and the USA for immediate delivery is about the same.

Russia has ‘nuts’ too.
Putin has many conventional weapon programs underway. He will rely on those.
Putin will try to kill lots of Ukrainian soldiers while trying to minimize Russian losses.
The US has suburban sprawl, Russia doesn’t.
Russia has nuclear targeting problems and the US can accurately hit Russia’s comparatively compact cities.
How does this square with the Book of Revelation?
I agree the probability isn’t high....but the possibility is there.
