Biden is accused of giving taxpayers a 'slap in the face' by forgiving $39 BILLION in student debt: Slammed for making 80% of Americans who don't have the loans 'subsidize' the few who do

President Joe Biden will forgive $39 billion in student debt for 804,000 Americans - two weeks after the Supreme Court struck down his $430 billion relief plan because it was unconstitutional.

In a move called a 'slap in the face' to taxpayers, borrowers who have been making payments for between 20 and 25 years will have their debts wiped due to 'fixes' in the system that calculates repayment plans.

The plan fixes 'past administrative failures' on income-driven payment. Under the Higher Education Act, borrowers with these eligible plans can have their loans forgiven after making 240 or 300 monthly payments,

The president has continued his push to wipe billions in student debt, despite anger from taxpayers and Americans who have never been to college.

The landmark Supreme Court decision dealt his plan a huge blow, but the White House has vowed to plow ahead to get widespread relief.

Critics slammed the 'absurd' announcement and called it a 'slap in the face to taxpayers'.

David Williams, President of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance, told DailyMail.com: 'This new announcement is absurd and is a slap in the face to taxpayers.

'The Biden administration is hell bent on recklessly spending hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars bailing out wealthy student loan borrowers, even after being rebuked by the country’s highest court.

'More than 80 percent of the country that doesn’t have student loans will be forced to subsidize the small percentage of Americans that do have loans. And, once again, the Biden administration is circumventing Congress.

'Whether it’s mission creep by agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission with politically motivated antitrust lawsuits, the Securities and Exchange Commission with ESG rules, or the latest Department of Education ending with student loans, these actions must be stopped immediately.'

Democratic senator from New Youk, Patrick Moynahan said, “Politics is all about who gets how much and when.” I think he was the last honest Democrat. His seat was considered so safe that when he retired Hillary Clinton moved to New York so she could get elected. At the time, it was probably the only way she could have been elected. As someone once famously said, “in my district a glass of water with a D on it could be elected.” I’d prefer the glass of water.

The serfs just need to keep their ungrateful mouths shut...

They need to continue bending over and spreading their cheeks...

They voted for the communists, they now live under communism...

The U.S. is now a functioning soviet...

How quickly can this get back to the Supreme Court to get slapped down?

So the Dept. of Ed can spend billions of dollars with the consent of NOBODY.

I didn’t know that.

Not unexpected. Brandon SAID he’d find another way around this after SCOTUS slapped him down.

Will a SECOND slap down help?

In the meantime, make sure your own fiscal house is in order. Mother Government isn’t going to bail your (or my) sorry butt out, anytime soon.

*SPIT* (Not that I would let her! I sent my ‘Covid Blood Money’ from 2020 to FR, LOL!)

It’s OK.

All government money belongs to Joe.

He is free to dispose of it as he sees fit.

In a move called a 'slap in the face' to taxpayers,

Worse perhaps, it's a slap in the face to the Constitution and the Supreme Court.

He is positioning republicans for a "damned if you do- damned if you don't" position on this in 2024.

He knows the SCOTUS will kick this back too. So he wins the votes of the freeloaders because he tried and the conservative court blocked it. Gotta elect a dim house and senate to bypass, legislatively, the court decision. Or they could try to pack the court.

If, by chance it doesn't get overturned, he will win the freeloader vote because he beat the conservative court.

If Joe feels so strongly about this why doesn’t he throw that $5 million in kickbacks into the pot, as a sign of good faith? Or is it just other people’s money that Joe Biden is so generous with?

The GOP again misses the point completely.

Calling it a “slap in the face” to the fricking TAXPAYERS ignores the seizure of power not granted in Article II and threatens ALL creditors before taxpayers even get involved.
