The only problem with Reparations is those paying will feel like they have made Amends while those receiving will feel like it’s not enough! So all Evanston has done is admit guilt and establish that the must pay. Question, how much, how long?

I believe I’ve read that about 2.5% of White Americans have slave owner’s as ancestors.

Likewise, 10% to 30% of black Americans are descended from (white) slave owners because many slave owners had sex with their slave girls.

So white Americans would have to pay reparations to a black American for something his great great great grandfather did?

Are reparations taxable income? Maybe the IRS can start hounding these people for taxes on that money.

Illinois wasn't a slave state.
None of the people being awarded reparations were ever slaves.
None of the people paying them ever owned slaves.

Other than those basic, undeniable facts, just a few questions - do the children of the people being paid reparations also get paid reparations when they grow up? If not, why not? And if so, do their grandchildren and great-grandchildren and descendants from now until the US finally dissolves also get reparation payments?
