It already exists. It’s called Cash App. Do not use the Fed version, use the commercial version.
We learned a lot about the American will to accept absolute tyranny. And it was imposed by a republican prez. No one 50 years ago would’ve thought that would ever be true.
This means the Fed is now operating at a level the rest of the payment world achieved decades ago.
And 90+% of transactions are electronic anyway. This might be world changing for stodgy old banks, but they are always the last to catch up. The entire focus on payments/clearing has been secure and reliable.
I wonder what they will charge for fees. And who gets them.
All bank account will belong to World Führer Klaus Schwab
that we did learn- noone 50 years ago woulda thought many of the nonsense we are witnessing today woudl be possible- who the heck woulda ever thought men woudl be allowed to shower with girls and anyone complaining woudl be punished? or that men could pretend to be women, a girl can pretend to be a cat or dog, a person could pretend to be several different genders etc and no one can object?
The nation has gone insane
but thankfully our side is fighting back and in some cases winning a few skirmishes like banning abortion- Stopping biden’s loan forgiveness (though now our side has to go back to court ot stop his amended nonsense)- and support for lgbtq is dwindling as businesses are starting to distance from it because of loses in business etc-
it’s always a fight between good and evil- unfortunately evil has most of the legal power behind it like courts, judges, fbi, cops etc- so our side suffers terribly for standing up against the left-0 but thankfully many are still willing to fight and hve their voices hear despite the unfair advantages of the left—
That’s what it sounds like, to mee. At first, voluntary, later, enforced.
Astute and insightful comment.
Gold can be purchased in 1/10ths of an oz, which is usable. Although, I do believe that the smaller rounds carry higher premiums.
Apps? As few as possible for me.
Any name with the letters FED in it should raise a red flag.
Start using cash or use more cash. Also, learn to barter.
I don’t know how people can support this. I think that Venmo is the precursor, but it doesn’t control how much you spend, nor does it control your 401 k like the feds aim to do.
I expect the CC companies will be offered incentives to “comply” and administer the nuts & bolts of the FED CBDC system.
It will require all sorts of computer power, info storage and processing suitable for categorizing all transactions at the IRS and all the other alphabet agencies.
They already do most of these things, so drafting them will be the easy route...all under the supervision and control of Big Gov, of course.
so Visa and MC just move into the background?
Good point.
What I want to know is what consumer protections are available for fraud. Debit cards have very little.
What’s the Bible say about this?
Must be something.
Check out Aurum. Basically spendable gold in 1/1000 oz and up bills. Laminated gold sheet in 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 increments. NOT currency, but barter. A bit pricey, but I do have some. I have found Defy the Grid has best prices.
The ground work is being layed if not in already across the spectrum. Your will be coerst in, invited in, and eventually forced in.
Not mentioned, but just as bad, is the ability to levy taxes on transactions directly, and/or to pass the information to the IRS and state tax agencies. They want a way to tax the underground economy (yard sales, flea markets, under-the-table work, etc). An end to cash transactions is their ultimate goal.
