A staffer for presidential hopeful Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is being accused of retweeting a video showing the Florida governor surrounded by a Nazi symbol.
The video, which was originally shared and later deleted by a DeSantis fan account, shows troops marching towards the conservative politician as Florida’s flag and a sunwheel are visible in the background.
“The @desantiscams account just deleted this video after at least one campaign staffer RT’d it,” podcast host Luke Thompson wrote after sharing a copy of the video. “I wonder if this was also made in-house.”
Thompson’s remark also points to an incident several weeks ago in which the DeSantis campaign promoted another video that criticized former President Donald Trump for at times supporting the LGBTQ community. As reported by the New York Times on Sunday, the video, which had been passed off as being produced by a fan, had actually been developed in-house by a DeSantis staffer.

Weird video, that is most likely not a DeSantis campaign production.

It’s one that has been used, but some groups started putting it on patches, so it got associated with white supremacy by the media.
Also, the social media team that desantis hired, doesn’t seem to be able to do effective messaging videos, from the ones that I saw, before twitter started to make people have to log in to use twitter.
It very well could be one of them made and put it out, thinking it would imply one thing, without thinking it would associate desantis with white supremacy.
That’s certainly not a traditional nazi symbol, if that’s even what it is.
It even say “In God We Trust” on it. Is that supposed to be Nazi now too, according to this?

I would appreciate it if journalists would report on real news and stop race baiting all the time. Am I supposed to worry about somebody I don’t know or care about posting something on the interwebs, besides me?
Good grief that ad gives me a headache
Actually I worry about the Biden crime cabal much more than any anti Republican propaganda. The only consistent conservative message needs to be to send Biden regime packing rather than finding propaganda to go after potential conservatives. But that is just my viewpoint.

I think that’s a very good analysis. Current national politics has been turned into a typical episode of the Jerry Springer show.
