It’s very sad. From the Daily Mail’s coverage, it looked like he couldn’t swim and wasn’t wearing a PFD while paddle-boarding. He drowned in 8 feet of water.

Doesn’t seem like it would be easy to drown with a paddle board.. they are flotation devices after all.

Hmmm.....people who can’t swim don’t go paddle boarding. I wonder if, in the almost 10 years he has been working at the Obama’s, if he ever paddle boarded before? This makes no sense.

There’s the urban legend about black people not knowing how to swim. From my history of working with underprivileged youth there is an element of truth to it.
