Unions have a bad rep these days, and very deservingly so. But they are often the only ones who will dig for the truth. This story is a case in point.

"The City has documentation that the City’s payroll files were properly submitted and received by its financial institution. Senior leaders at that institution have been actively involved since early this morning to push payments to the affected employees. The City has demanded that those deposits occur immediately this morning."As of 8 a.m., it appears only uniformed employees were affected.
That is weird. I wonder if there was some kind of extra pay adjustment scheduled for uniformed employees. That would require extra programming that might not have gotten done, or might have been done improperly.
