Actually cheaper gas is not generally the issue for expats.
Currently we would like to live in a country that is not a banana republic. And we feel as many jews claim to have felt, that they had time to get out, but delayed and were sorry. We have time to get out and need to make use of it. Once the left gets their win in 2024, what do you think this country will become?
We explored the expat idea extensively when it looked like Hillary might be elected. Back then we were looking at South America. Persecution of Trump and conservatives here in MIchigan has tipped us into becoming serious.
Our top choice of today is Namibia, in case you are curious.
There are 12 African countries that are safer than the US.
In Namibia there are about 2500 US expats. Additionally they have many things we want, Orthodox churches, English as a main language, and even dog obedience and agility. Incredible wildlife.
I have to check on extradition as I have typed so many anti-left stuff online. If you think I am being ridiculous then I think you have not been paying attention.
Our second choice is the Bahamas. I believe they have even larger numbers of US expats.

I try to find 2nd view of an article that I think is important. There was a time when we considered MSM as the test for truth, now it is alternative media that has a patent on the Truth in the News.
I’ve been reading through bias since my youth, I look for lots of bits of information from many sources to try and ascertain what is happening and why.
Something that really helps is to read the better sources that are opposed to one’s own views, books, magazines, and articles that attack one’s views and opinions.
