Who is Jack Smith? Using his name and the word 'integrity' in the same sentence is an oxymoron
American Thinker ^ | 08/03/2023 | Jack Hellner

Posted on 08/03/2023 7:31:10 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Jack Smith was in charge of the public integrity section of the Justice Department during five of the Obama-Biden years, which was a massively corrupt administration. He must have had blinders on.

He was there when Lois Lerner and the IRS corruptly targeted Obama's opponents, who wanted smaller government and lower taxes. Lerner violated their Constitutional rights to free speech and freedom of association with her targeted harassment. Then she lied to Congress and destroyed evidence. She clearly obstructed justice. Yet she, nor no one else surrounding her were ever charged and Lerner went off to retire at her beltway mansion.

Smith also clearly had to know that Hillary Clinton mishandled classified documents, destroyed evidence, and collected money from all sorts of foreign and domestic sources for pay-to-play access yet neither she, nor no one else who supported her, were ever charged.

Obama and his wingman, Department of Justice chief Eric Holder, withheld documents from Congress for years on the gun-running scandal known as "Operation Fast and Furious." Holder committed perjury. The two of them clearly obstructed justice. Yet somehow, Smith never charged them with anything.

People throughout the Obama-Biden administration illegally spied on a huge number of Americans. They withheld this evidence until after they left office. Yet somehow, no one was charged.

Report: Obama era NSA admits to years of illegal searches on Americans

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper lied to Congress about the illegal spying but he was never charged, either.

CIA Direcot John Brennan had his staff illegally spy on U.S. senators and then lied to them about it. Yet he, nor his staff members were never charged.

Seems Smith is a low IQ attorney with ideas of becoming a great leader but he is missing one thing; brains.

This is like being the guy left to watch the jail during the time when all the prisoners escaped.

Oh, now they're asking questions about this mole?

Just how does a middling graduate of SUNY Oneonta get into Harvard for Chrissakes, hmm?

There's a lot more to Mad Jack then what we see on the surface. A rigid, doctrinaire thug - AKA "Stalinist" - gets into the major PI position in the country and then spends the whole time running interference for his little Commie buds?

He's a plant, like Barry Soetoro.

I have noticed that the “the AG isn’t the president’s wingman” sorts who used to crawl out of the woodwork to criticize President Trump for complaining about the Sessions(*) DOJ working nonstop to destroy his administration and him personally, using lies, are nowhere to be found now that there is a resident actively using the DOJ as his personal political weapon.

If you really, really, really had solid evidence of bad behavior against Donald Trump, the one thing you would do is pick a non-biased, reputation perfect, non-political, fair special prosecutor to investigate.

Instead we always get Democratic party dirty cronies, sometimes over and over again.
Robert Mueller (had Weismann running it)
Andrew Weismann
now Jack Smith. (has Weismann on the team)

All of these players had a past. All of them have been involved in very shady DOJ and FBI issues in the past. The statement is that your not looking for Justice when you get these people on your team.....

Alan Dershowitz Says Jack Smith May Be Indicted If Trump Wins Case
Daily Caller News Foundation ^ | August 02, 2023 | Harold Hutchison
Posted on 8/3/2023, 9:36:43 AM by george76

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz said that Special Counsel Jack Smith could himself be indicted if the indictment of former President Donald Trump is thrown out.

Smith secured a four-count indictment of Trump relating to his efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election after he previously secured a 37-count indictment against Trump in June based on an investigation into allegations surrounding classified documents, which was supplemented with a superseding indictment issued Thursday that included charges against Carlos De Oliveira, a maintenance worker at Mar-a-Lago, the Florida estate owned by former President Trump. Trump faces arraignment on the charges in the Jan. 6 indictment on Aug. 3.

“You know the worst thing about this indictment, under the terms of this indictment, Jack Smith can be indicted. Let me explain to you why,” Dershowitz said. “The statute says the following, two or more persons conspire to injure and deny somebody the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured him by the constitution. What if a court ultimately rules that Donald Trump had a right under the First Amendment to make his Jan. 6 speech and to do what he did? Then Jack Smith will have conspired to deny him of that right. That’s how serious this is.”

“Jack Smith … deliberately, willfully and maliciously leaves out the words that President Trump spoke on Jan. 6 in his terrible speech. which I disagree with, but what he said was, ‘I want you to assemble peacefully and patriotically,’” Dershowitz added.

“Jack [Smith] leaves that out. That is a lie, a lie, an omission lie and if you’re going to indict somebody for telling lies, don’t tell lies in the indictment. If you’re going to indict somebody for denying people their constitutional rights, don’t deny them their constitutional rights by indicting them for free speech.”

“That’s how hypocritical this is.”

Dershowitz earlier said that Smith’s indictment targeted Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to counsel, by naming attorneys who represented Trump as unindicted co-conspirators.

“The Supreme Court has said in an opinion by Chief Justice [William] Rehnquist … under the First Amendment there is no such thing as a false opinion or a false idea. The response to a false idea is the marketplace of ideas or Election Day,” Dershowitz said.

“So you’re absolutely right, this is a very, very dangerous indictment, dangerous to the First Amendment and also dangerous to the Sixth Amendment because it directly goes after Trump’s lawyers, names them as unindicted co-conspirators without giving their names, but basically says they’re criminals for giving him advice on how to challenge the election.”

Agree but I thinks it’s going to have to reach the supreme court to do it the way the other courts are operating now.

Hope your right
