Those guys did just right and from comments I’ve seen on various boards and threads including You Tube and Twitter/X, 99 percent of the people agree.

Actually, I have concealed carry permits in two states. Part of my training is on the laws of self defense, use of deadly force, and some of the legal problems associated with “not being a victim.”
Your lack of understanding of the way the legal system operates could get you in a lot of trouble if you ever acted on your beliefs. But you have free will. Just saying that any decision to use deadly force or to escalate a confrontation to a point where violence is no longer required can get you in jail, instead of the criminal.
