Russia and China teamed up on a major military exercise off the coast of Alaska last week, according to a new report.
The Wall Street Journal said the 11-ship force “appeared to be the largest such flotilla to approach American shores,” citing experts it did not name.
Four U.S. destroyers and P-8 Poseidon aircrafts kept a wary eye on the ships.

What is a matter with those commie’s, don’t the know only the US and NATO can do that!
Biden will pee on himself in the White Hut.
Hey, that’s 37%. Much more better…
I was told China is going to invade Siberia and go to war with Russia.
Is this incorrect?
What do they want in Alaska? Crab legs and salmon?
“What do they want in Alaska? Crab legs and salmon?”
Apparently Russia wants Alaska, and some of its talking heads have said so. They are claiming that the sale of Alaska was illegal.
Russians are so transparent.
News and opinion writing seems to be getting more limp daily. 11 ships versus 4 or so, and no contact. No crossing of maritime borders. No... Wait! It's a NEW ERA!
No disrespect to you, hardspunned, but it seems like the "lede" is becoming everything.
Sometimes the track is closed, the betting windows shut, and the thoroughbreds are in their stalls. What to do, for the opinion writer? Use hyperbole. Bombshell. Breaking. New era!
Murkowski filet?
"Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) said Thursday if the 2024 presidential match-up is between President Biden and former President Trump, she would go with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), who so far has not launched a presidential bid."

Thats what I was thinking. This is purely a headline grab for the chicoms and ruskies to show how macho thay are to their own people. While the rest of us have a good laugh.
So what if they send a few subs to Alaska? We can send a few to Vladivostok and the China Sea.
You honestly don’t see the new BRICS, post sanctions catastrophe world. The Russians and Chinese have never been closer as they unite to defeat a common aggressor.
And so much for the benefits the American consumers were supposed to get from those stupid free trade deals.
Are they rehearing to land massive numbers of troops to invade the United States across the Bering Straits [51 miles]? Would Biden surrender the country?
Two words:
B-1B
LRASM
A single bomber could take out that entire battle group.
STEALTH cruise missile.
We need a computer geek to get their ships to collide in the fog.
Borscht Lo Mein anyone?
What do you expect? Biden et al. are on China’s payroll. Austin and Miley probably called China just like Granholm did when Biden opened up our Emergency Oil Reserve spigot.
‘New Era’ Dawning as Joint China-Russia Warship Fleet Aggressively Approaches Alaska Coast and vanishes...
You misunderstand me. I shall say this is my fault. What I highlighted was that an ordinary something-or-the-other was whipped up for notice. More than one political stance does this in their media from time to time. The lefties are the worst, but....
Since you ask directly, I shall happily reply directly. I repeat what I wrote to another in order to be consistent:
Here is what I wrote, verbatim:So, as you see, I acknowledge -- no belief involved -- that a mulit-polar world is forming. That is a fact. How it forms is yet to be seen. Being "multi-" in that sense, it tells that there are forming 1) more than one hub on one wheel, 2) more than one direction for any hub and wheel to travel, and 3) no one "power" in charge. Reality is knocking. When one "projects" military power around the world, one should not be surprised others would contest such a projection with their own.
In a uni-polar world this is darn near inconceivable. In a multi-polar world, it should be expected.
Nothing in those two sentences even hints at "siding with Iran" nor "anyone how hates America." What I wrote was rather factual. If you believe that this is a uni-polar world, and currently align with its leadership -- which I remind is Joe Biden -- then the logical step is to support our foreign policy to call the shots everywhere and all the time. Is that happening? If not, then we experience a multi-polar world.
With a rapidly increasing debt soon to pass the $33 trillion dollar mark, one may well argue that playing the "world's policeman" is becoming a very big cost for our citizenry, about 4 percent of the world's population. My view is that this rapid increase in debt is soon to collide with a reality not of our choosing.
So, yeah, I side with our USA, without a doubt, but think that the current crop of Biden-mania is driving into a very deep ditch.
But I am convinced that the Obama-Biden trajectory for "color revolutions" and all has backfired dramatically. In your words, I "see the new BRICS, post sanctions...." Biden's demand that the US "lead the liberal world order" -- his words -- is coming a-cropper.
As to Biden and by extension that whole bunch, and verbatim:
"As one of — as one of the top military people said to me in a secure meeting the other day, 60 — 60 million people died between 1900 and 1946. And since then, we've established a liberal world order, and that hadn't happened in a long while. A lot of people dying, but nowhere near the chaos. We've go to lead it. But what happens when others say "no, you don't." End of the dreamed-of uni-polar. Evidence of the multi-polar. Period."And now is a time when things are shifting. We're going to — there's going to be a new world order out there, and we've got to lead it. And we've got to unite the rest of the free world in doing it."

I think we might be in agreement generally? What's happening is what's happening. Best regards.
1/3 of any decent navy is always in refit and repair. 100% normal.
Good thing we’ve been conserving oil for our communist overlords. /s
