Oregon is run by its tyrannical Democratic party.

There hasn’t been an honest statewide election in Oregon in decades. It’s been 41 years since a Republican was allowed to win the Governorship, and never after.

Texas should have done the same thing to the Democrats who fled the state to DC. They should have been indicted on bribery charges for allowing Beto O'Rourke to pay for their travel and lodging in DC to prevent a quorum in the Texas legislature.

Texas House Democrats are guilty of accepting a bribe to withhold their vote under the Texas Constitution, and should have their House seats vacated.

I posted back in July 2021 that it's actually in the Texas Constitution.

According to the Texas State Constitution:

Article 16 Section 41:

Sec. 41. BRIBERY AND SOLICITATION OR ACCEPTANCE OF BRIBES. Any person who shall, directly or indirectly, offer, give, or promise, any money or thing of value, testimonial, privilege or personal advantage, to any executive or judicial officer or member of the Legislature to influence him in the performance of any of his public or official duties, shall be guilty of bribery, and be punished in such manner as shall be provided by law. And any member of the Legislature or executive or judicial officer who shall solicit, demand or receive, or consent to receive, directly or indirectly, for himself, or for another, from any company, corporation or person, any money, appointment, employment, testimonial, reward, thing of value or employment, or of personal advantage or promise thereof, for his vote or official influence, or for withholding the same, or with any understanding, expressed or implied, that his vote or official action shall be in any way influenced thereby, or who shall solicit, demand and receive any such money or other advantage matter or thing aforesaid for another, as the consideration of his vote or official influence, in consideration of the payment or promise of such money, advantage, matter or thing to another, shall be held guilty of bribery, within the meaning of the Constitution, and shall incur the disabilities provided for said offenses, with a forfeiture of the office they may hold, and such other additional punishment as is or shall be provided by law.

“Measure 113 was crafted to specifically target Republicans, whose only power lies in legislative walk-outs.”

Why has the GOP not copied something similar? Instead our guys do embarrassing and ineffective stunts like kicking out the Tennessee dudes only to have them come back days later.

The Dems play for keeps.

Never trust a woman with a hyphenated last name or a man who wears a bowtie without a tux.

What does the Oregon Constitution have to say about this? I am thinking that the Legislature of any State cannot change the Constitution without hoops to be jumped through.

There is a silver lining with this. Where these senators are from are strong republican districts. The only way the Oregon congress can get anything done is with a quorum. The republicans walk out stopping all business in the congress. The districts will keep electing “kamikaze” senators who will use this tactic knowing they can’t run again. This law blew up in the democrats’ faces.

Why did she decide to stop coloring her hair about a year ago? The ends are golden brown but she has about 7 inches of grey re-growth from her roots. Time to color it again, or trim the ends and be a proud short haired silver sister!

Of course, I am being inane. But so is she.

Well, Commie Oregon finally did it. Figured out how to totally eliminate the opposition.

And that was Vic Atieyh (sp?) winning re-election. His first win in ‘78 was the last non-incumbent gubernatorial win.

The Republicans are still under the illusion that they won’t be done away with like ordinary conservatives.

Dummies.

Texas Republicans work WITH the Dumb-O-Crats.

Example: the impeachment of the Attorney General, Ken Paxton. I’m betting the Senate will take its sweet time getting around to a trial, since the AG will be out of action until that’s done and over with.

To them, it’s no obnoxious conservative AG to bother with, indefinitely, if possible. Freakin’ RINOs.

Vic Atiyeh, yes. Oregon is a premier example of how one single urban county (Multnomah) can impose its will on the rest of the state. Used to be some states would require that you had to carry a majority of counties in order to win a statewide race. I think that model of an electoral college of sorts would put a halt to domination by urban Communist totalitarians.
