Nurses and other health care workers at MaineGeneral Health, one of Maine’s largest healthcare providers, were unceremoniously fired two years ago if they refused to take the experimental mRNA injections touted as COVID-19 preventatives.
Some of those workers were even slapped with misconduct charges for refusing to comply with the mandate, many were later denied unemployment benefits, and no requests for religious exemptions were honored.

Tell them to take a long walk off a short pier. The nurses could sue if we had real justice system.

The fools have probably had to pay temporary “traveling nurses” 3X the salary, to fill the empty spots.

Biden points and says “Hey, lookit, they’re hiring. The employment market is doing great or what?”

I’d say, “First, give me all that back pay from since you fired me. Then we’ll talk salary going forward.”

That’s for sure...they ought to be compenstated. Not only did they become unemployable during that time period but now there is almost certainly a stigma attached to them.

This is why I will always side with employees who adamantly refuse to return to the office after working from home for the last 3+ years.
We have witnessed a complete breakdown in the relationship between employer and employee since March 2020.

I’m glad I work for a company that did a quick about-face with the Vax mandates. (After thinking it through, they found a loop-hole in the Fed-Gov mandate).

I can imagine this scenario:
September of 2023 — Hospitals in Maine hire back these nurses, with many apologies and some cash to make up for the error.
January of 2024 — CDC declares new pandemic. Even worse than COVID!!!
February of 2024 — New vaccine! Safe and effective!
March 2024 — Hospitals in Maine fire every nurse who refuses the new vaccine.

What happens when government has too much influence over health providers’ decisions and actions.

I work in a small rural Hosp. I refused the COVID shot...and was NOT going to take it..based on Religious...grounds and the fact that I smelled RATS!!!
I rec'd the exemption...and still work there...Plenty of others got the shots..and other shots...and still got sick.
Many came to me telling me they should have never have got the VAX
To: cp124
just wondering why they are begging the unvaccinated nurses to fill the void? are the vaccinated nurses croaking?

I’m glad I work for a company that did a quick about-face with the Vax mandates. (After thinking it through, they found a loop-hole in the Fed-Gov mandate). Same here. They started making noises about mandatory "vaccines", and I told my boss outright that I'd quit first. The entire plan was later quietly dropped. Apparently, I wasn't the only one.

The girlfriend of a friend’s son is a traveling nurse. She makes some big bucks doing that, but she gives up any permanent residence. But it’s fun and exciting in your 20s to move around and experience different places.
