Many of them are probably being started by professional trained arsonist’s who are using very high tech methods. My guess is that they are out of the area when the fire actually starts.
Well, Spokane area just had string of 100°F days and at times, moderate wind.
It’s probably friends of Greta Thunberg... The media harps ‘global warming’ when ever one of these ‘wild’ fires breaks out... Lighting does cause the odd fire every now and then... It doesn’t cause this many though.

Where do you get the idea that this particular fire is arson?
Arson is very seldom a high tech crime. When it is, it’s easier to trace, though arson, generally speaking, is difficult to detect and even more difficult to solve and prosecute.
