Well Chris, 45% is a far sight better than your chosen pony in this race! There are no other Republicans who can win in 24. The game is too rigged and the GOP is too compromised from active and passive involvement. In short, we the people do not trust you!

If Trump gets the nomination, the DOJ, Dems, GOP, and if necessary the CIA will do all they can to sabotage his election, and, if he is still alive on Election Day, no one outside of his base will vote for him.
If Trump does not get the nomination, few to none of his supporters will vote for whoever the GOP nominee is.
And it doesn’t matter who the Dem nominee is, though it would be easier for them if he was Newsom, with Whitmer for VP.

Let’s take Sununu‘s claim at face value for a moment, and assume no significant third-party involvement.
Trump: 45%
The Democrat: 55%
So the Democrat wins the election, right?
Not necessarily. The Democrat sweeps states like New York and California with huge margins. Trump wins many smaller states by smaller margins, and wins the Electoral College.
I wonder if Sununu considered that.
Chris Sununu is the Governor of New Hampshire. Given that New Hampshire is located to the north of Richmond, this doesn’t surprise me.
Do the Trump supporters think that as his opponents fall out that their supporters will hold their noses and vote for Trump?
I don’t see a huge percent doing that. I don’t think Trump moves the Independent needle that far.
He is a polarizing figure. His 40% will vote for him. His name on the ballot will bring Dems out of the woodwork. I don’t think he can overcome that in marginal states.
Trump consumes the oxygen out of any room. But his fire is not directed in the right places. His policy speeches are devoid of policy. People (aside from his faithful) are just tired of him.
But, his loyal followers will drive him to the nomination. And then, they will drive the GOP into a 40% wall next November. Unless he can get independent voters climbing onboard…his derailing of the party could be epic.
Presidencies have been won on less than 45% of the popular vote, which does not and never has been the determining factor in the election of any President.
He’s not running. We need to have a thread showing who’s running. It’s frightening to think you believed Sununu was running. If we get it wrong here, how can we expect the populace to know. That’s scary. Please take a look at whose running PLEASE!!!!!
