I don’t know about that. But here’s the thing. The Monroe Doctrine had two important parts. We told Europe not to interfere in the Americas. And in return, we would not interfere in Europe.
We broke that second part 106 years ago by entering WW 1. And we’ve broken it many, many times since. So we really can’t complain about anything here.
It’s the outcome of numerous issues, latest being funds and weapons for Ukraine.
It’s time for Europe to grow their militaries and defend themselves.
I’d prefer we fix our nearly destroyed country myself...
We may have involved ourselves in Europe for WW1, but we were wanted there. Also that did not stop us from invoking Monroe Doctrin successfully around 50 years ago when we stopped Russia from shipping nukes to Cuba. Why should Nicaragua be any different from Cuba in outcome? Russia would be dumb to try, and people pushing the Eussian nuke porn are just Putin putzes.
“We broke that second part 106 years ago by entering WW 1.”
Nope.
Germany made plans to attack the USA in order to force the US to surrender the islands and territories we had recently seized from the Spanish.

These plans were not kept entirely secret because the Germans wanted to intimidate the US into surrendering the desired territories.
The result was the US was not entirely enamored of Germany going into WW1. And then add the ill fated Zimmerman cable and the die was cast.
Woodrow Wilson did more damage to this country than any other President.
