Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social on Monday night to complain about the $200,000 bond that’s been negotiated for his release after he surrenders in Georgia later this week over his alleged plot to overturn the 2020 election. And while it was completely expected that the former president would complain about needing to post bond, he also ventured into truly bizarre territory, explaining a hypothetical scenario where he would apparently flee to Russia.
“I assume, therefore, that she thought I was a ‘flight’ risk - I’d fly far away, maybe to Russia, Russia, Russia, share a gold domed suite with Vladimir, never to be seen or heard from again,” Trump continued.
“Would I be able to take my very ‘understated’ airplane with the gold TRUMP affixed for all to see. Probably not, I’d be much better off flying commercial - I’m sure nobody would recognize me!” Trump continued on Monday.

Alter knows damn well that Trump was being sarcastic. His title is purposely misleading. The media is the enemy of this country. Until we make low information voters aware of this fact we will lose elections.

I would think we are all operating under the assumption that Trump has irrefutable evidence that totally exonerates him in court. So this is a funny joke.

Leftists will never read past the headline and will dutifully repeat “Trump said he would flee to Russia” as fact from now on.
I assume Trump is just being sarcastic, but he should keep in mind that such ‘hypothetical’ remarks only serve the ultimate goals of the Progressives should they decide to take these remarks seriously. Many are already looking for any excuse to lock him up anyway. Don’t make it so easy for them.
Democrats/Socialist/Progressives are not exactly known for their objective sense of humor.
