Looking at the map, there’s a Black university and a Sheriff’s substation as the first two landmarks I saw on that street. Looks like the Dollar General may be about 3/4 of a mile from Campus. I’ve been in worse looking Black neighborhoods.

It is believed the shooter is now dead, although it's unclear if he was taken out by police, or killed himself. Either way works.
It's a shame he had to take others with him, though.

Parents found the manifesto and called police.
Parents live in Oak Leaf, an area of newer, mostly nicer homes in Orange Park (suburban area south of Jacksonville).
