Putin says BRICS works for 'global majority'

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the BRICS grouping of countries was on course to meet the aspirations of most of the world's population, according to recorded remarks at a summit of the BRICS countries in South Africa on Tuesday.

"We cooperate on the principles of equality, partnership support, respect for each other’s interests, and this is the essence of the future-oriented strategic course of our association, a course that meets the aspirations of the main part of the world community, the so-called global majority," Putin said.

Putin was unable to attend the summit in person because of an arrest warrant issued for him in March by the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing him of war crimes in Ukraine.

“We cooperate on the principles of equality, partnership support, respect for each other’s interests...”

As long as you’re not Ukranian, Taiwanese, Uighur, Tibetan, Moldovan, Georgian, Chechen, Malian, Nigerois, etc...

A coalition of nations, not NGOs. I find that reassuring.

The US lost its moral authority thanks to the #ing Rats & neocons.

A coalition of bureaucratic, statist nations on the whole, all immensely corrupt. NGOs are mostly scum, but the state structures of these places are an even lower level of scum.

I except India, not because it isn’t screwed up, but because it is currently led by Modi and his party, which is pretty based. They are TRYING to do better.

They all want an alternate currency mainly because they hope it will let them print money without consequences, or having to borrow from abroad. That’s crack for bureaucracies.

Jealous losers. They will never be America.

Probably the biggest consequence of your hubris and stupidity is that you created conditions where everyone outside American and Europe wants to escape the dollar and the Western trading system.

Why didn’t France, when for years they had a chance, pay alot more to African nations for the mining of uranium and other things, instead of paying chump change and reselling the uranium they didn’t need, for vastly more? Why did they hinder refining of various things in these countries instead of buying refined goods and fostering better relationships?

Why did they need military bases in these countries? Why are they now getting mad at coups in African countries their bases are in when the west, either acting in concert with them or on their behalf, engaged in coups in African nations?

So why are neocon cheapskates here at FR getting mad, agitated, or upset at BRICS?

50,000 Americans died in Indochina because we allowed France to keep her colonies there after WWII.
