More than three-quarters of US thinks Biden is too old for second term: poll
The New York Post ^ | 08/28/2023 | Ryan King

An eye-popping 77% of Americans feel that President Biden is too old to effectively govern if he wins a second term in office, according to a new survey.

Misgivings about the octogenarian’s age were shared across the board, with 89% of Republicans concerned about Biden’s age hindering a second term and 69% of Democrats feeling the same way, per an Associated Press-NORC poll released Monday.

When asked what words first came to mind when they thought of the president, 41% of respondents answered with some combination of “old,” “outdated,” “aging,” “elderly,” “slow,” “confused” and “bumbling.”

When asked the same question about former President Donald Trump, 23% answered “corrupt,” “criminal,” “crooked,” “liar,” “dishonest” and “untrustworthy.”

Only 51% of respondents felt that Trump’s age would prevent him serving a second term effectively, including 71% of Democrats and 28% of Republicans, the poll showed. *** More than six in 10 Americans (62%) have an unfavorable view of Trump, while 52% say the same of Biden.

However, just 24% of respondents were eager to see Biden vie for a second term, compared to 30% for Trump, the poll said.

Old is a problem but corrupt is not?

I don’t think that he’s too old, he’s too senile.

There are two possibilities for the Biden nomination:

1. He has a bunch of dirt on the Beltway crowd and will use it if he’s pushed out the door

or

2. He’s just biding time, keeping Kamala on the sidelines while not appearing as a lame duck, then when convention time comes Gavin Newsom will get the nomination.

I really care how old anyone is as long as he has his full mental faculties and the energy to do the job. There’s a lot of other qualities that come after that.

I agree it is a set up how ever it unfolds. Mine is a little
different than yours but it does center around VP Harris.

I think if Biden is re-elected and at some point steps down
then VP Harris becomes president. Depending upon time of
this happening she can serve the remainder of the first term
and be re-elected for either one or two full four year terms.

It is not his age that should be of greatest concern but his corrupt attitude and nothing has yet been said about his possible treasonous attitude toward this country in favor of Ukraine and China. Quisling Joe and his incompetent cabinet members cannot be trusted.

She has already past that point. No President can serve more than ten years or stand for election twice. This was put into the Constitution this way to allow Truman to run again if he wanted to. That was how it got past the states back in the post FDR days.

Aside from the senility that has beset Joe, there are many issues of age that should concern people.

Based on the actuarial tables from SS, the odds of Joe dying in the next six years is way over 50%. Trump’s odds are only slightly better because he is only two years behind Biden if he were elected. Trump would be 79 on Inauguration Day.

The years after 75 see some of the most significant increases in the percentages against living to the next year.

I believe we should be careful about voting ANYONE over 70 into their first term. This would limit them out before they turned 80.

I think this applies to every person seeking office. We need to get these people to retire. Watching them flail about when dealing with “modern” issues is scary. Think about the folks over the “limit”. We have people who have been in office longer than most of the electorate has been alive. That’s just not right.

Joe Biden was too old and senile to run for President in 1988. Accused of plagiarism, Joe simply doubled down and claimed it was “ludicrous” to attribute every political idea to its author, as he shamelessly continued to just collect a hodgepodge of other people’s ideas, being a very shallow thinker.

That ship should have foundered in the ebb tide back then, and the pursuit of the Presidency properly abandoned once and for all, but somebody, or something, kept hope alive for many years beyond its expiration. Now see who is in the White House, that damn jackass is President.

For this existing term I agree. But I’m referring to the 2nd
term if Biden runs and is re-elected. My thought is Biden
won’t step down this term but may well do it in the 2nd term.

Who knows what the Powers that be are thinking. Take care.

3. The committee that actually runs the country have the perfect figurehead. Traitor Joe says and does whatever they tell him to do. They have a puppet with the power of the presidency. It’s a dream come true for the rats.

It’s not the age, it’s the mental capacity. Trump is 77 and sharp as a tack.

At any time after the start of the second year of a President’s term. So that would be 1/2/27 for Biden’s second term.

Biden is going to lose millions of votes this tie around and the 5% fraud in the Blue cities won’t be enough this time around. Now that he has a record and is dementia has worsened, he can’t win.
