Ramaswamy also said he would end sanctions to bring Russia back into the global market and as a result, “elevate Russia as a strategic check on China’s designs in East Asia.”

This is naive, at best. Russia is not going to play the part of "a strategic check on China's designs in East Asia" - first, because it doesn't want to and second, because it doesn't have the ability to do so.

Vivek sounds like what he is - a successful and very intelligent business man. He has a lot of good ideas on the domestic front, I have no quarrel with any candidate who is opposed to pouring our tax dollars into Ukraine, and I'm glad he's on our side. But his ideas about positioning Russia to suit our needs are not realistic.

Russia was never going to be our ally, that much is true.

However it was smart diplomacy to work with them in areas where we could, or had common ground. He is right about that - they have squandered every bit of it. Talk about sophomoric. And just as importantly, maybe more - many nations around the globe who are (or were) nominally US allies are in the process of detangling themselves insofar as possible, particularly with respect to currency alignments.

They have witnessed what happens when a nation gets sideways with whoever is sitting in the White House. They can have their assets seized and sanctions imposed on a whim. That gives anybody pause. And Russia was a check on China, this has been going on since the 1950s, it isn’t a situation the US can effect or enhance, but it is a situation they can screw up.

Guess what these clowns have done? Now you know why they sent Henry Kissinger, who is 99, over to China just a couple weeks ago.

And Third, because we have stolen their foreign reserves, have been waging proxy war on them for the last 9 years, and are arming Ukraine to attack Moscow.

You can't catch neocon stupid once its escaped the cage
