I resent it that these old timers are ruining the reputation of other older people (like me at 77). Young people are painting us all with a broad brush as forgetful, useless, in the way and in cognitive decline.
Joseph Campbell was going to cities and giving lectures and presentations, and making videos and writing nonfiction books when he suddenly took sick and died of pneumonia. Age 83.
And many others are that way. A luck of genes as we are born, not a health trick.
Older citizens are not all useless and we do not need a mandatory retirement for all categories. Heard this repeated: I know some 80 year olds who act 60 and some 60 years olds who act 90.

Lindsey Graham booked on TV supporting a Bill (his Chief of staff booked him to support the Bill he co-sponsored) that on Jesse Watters he said he opposed.
Lindsey Graham has said he doesn’t know how to send an email and never has in his life!
These people couldn’t do a mid tier job in corporate America.
“McConnell needs to spend his remaining days with his family.
I can’t imagine why he would stay in that job given his mental issues. Money? Prestige? He’s been there and done that. Time for him to move on.”
He stays because China has him by the short hairs......
TIA or absence seizure.
SMH.
What has not yet been mentioned on this thread was the beginning of Mitch’s remarks before he “froze”.
He was discussing the military industrial complex’s cash machine, the NDA (National Defense Appropriation) bill.
He is like a puppet whose puppeteer took a smoke break.
Perhaps the strings Xi is manipulating became entangled.

TIAs
They look just like that.
“Why do they let these people stay in office.”
That’s the question. Seems there aren’t any younger politicians that will compete with them. You can blame on voters but voters need alternatives on the ballot.
Its the jabs I tells you! Multiple jabs.
He needs to hang on and maybe we’ll elect a Republican as governor in November (I’m not holding my breath though; Kentucky has a very bad habit of electing Democrat governors.)

Thanks cgbg,
I was unaware of the context.
A replacement in Senate leadership is already set with those beside him, sadly, Thune, Barosso, etc. but Kentucky submits 3 suitable names of the same party and the Gov. (D) selects one.
the Governor is trying to amend the state constitution to remove that policy so the Gov. has sole authority. Who down there has heard how that’s developing.
It’s a TIA, IMO. Seen them many times.
My mom had another one a few months ago. That one was in her speech center and caused temporary aphasia.
They can be precursors for “the big one”.
Though we have Comer and Paul, KY is full of hard-core Democrats awaiting to reclaim their majority.
The Republican governor KY managed to elect all, I believe, left office with lackluster popularity. I hope Cameron can pull it out, but I doubt it very much.
