Biden admin asks New York private businesses to help migrant crisis — by offering free services
NY Post ^ | 09/01/2023 | Craig McCarthy

The Biden administration again evaded responsibility for New York’s spiraling migrant crisis — this time by telling the Empire State’s private businesses to step up while it offers a measly $600 million to offset the multibillion-dollar crisis.

The proposal put forward by White House officials in a Wednesday meeting with Gov. Kathy Hochul suggested putting out a call to city companies to provide free services to asylum seekers, including pro bono legal advice, The Post learned Thursday.

The request for handouts also extends to free help educating and consulting with migrants on how to apply for work permits.

Meanwhile, the Biden White House said it would ask Congress for $600 million to help New York feed and house the crush of migrants arriving in the Big Apple under the president’s soft border policies.

Even if the city gets the paltry amount from the feds, the overall tally would be $746 million — just a fraction of the $5.2 billion already spent to care for the more than 107,000 asylum seekers who have arrived from the southern border since spring 2022.

Exactly. Will the government soon station UN troops in private houses?

How about a 100% tax credit for the “free” services? Let the government feel the pain it inflicts on everyone else.

It would be a whole lot cheaper just to send them back.

We’re back to violations of the third amendment. Thus proving that there isn’t any right that the government won’t violate.

Wouldn’t it be easier for the Democrats to just nationalize those companies?

After all, that’s what their socialist heroes in Venezuela did. And that seems to have worked out just fine.

Have you taken a good look at those people? You stop feeding and caring for them they will just take what they want and if you die along the way they won’t care. You think home grown thugs are bad? Wait until you experience the imported kind.

"Exactly. Will the government soon station UN troops in private houses?"

From some of the news the past few months, NYC/NYS has been asking people to take migrants into their homes. Don't be surprised if that changes to forced.

If I were a private business, I would keep records of any and all communications from 'goverment' relative to providing 'free' services--because there will be threats behind the scenes.

“The request for handouts also extends to free help educating and consulting with migrants on how to apply for work permits”

This should cause some concern in the 13% realm. There’s serious competition for being wards of the government now.

In the words of our late 36th President, “These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.” OR perhaps they’ll remember this little promise, “I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.”

Maybe, just maybe this will be the catalyst that wakens the Americans to the fraud, since its inception, known as the dimocRAT party.

Nationalizing the businesses would be socialist. The Nazis had cooler uniforms, and for a left-winger, if you look marvelous, you feel marvelous. So act like a fascist NAZI to be a real lefty.

A federal court emasculated the 3A some time ago. Here’s what happened. A police department took over some innocent guy’s house. The cops wanted to use the house to monitor some local criminal behavior.

The home owner didn’t want the cops there. Too bad, said the cops. So the home owner sued, saying that his 3A rights were violated. Too bad, said a federal court. The 3A doesn’t apply to police. It only applies to soldiers being quartered in your house.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2015/03/23/federal-court-rejects-third-amendment-claim-against-police-officers/

Oh, and the cops didn’t just take over the innocent guy’s house. They also arrested him for “obstructing a police officer” before occupying his home.

Here’s an article about that (written before the court ruling):

> Hadn’t heard about that. <

I came across that 3A story quite by accident. I’m not surprised that the police behaved in such a crude and heavy-handed manner. I am surprised that the story didn’t get more coverage. No screaming and yelling from the ACLU, for example.

“A man’s home is his castle.”
Evidently not.
