The outcome wasn’t a failure. It was a test flight which didn’t even plan for anything after takeoff. Then again, that might be why FAA disagrees with SpaceX about safety; they may not be so cavalier about a massive explosion.

Hundreds of people died. SpaceX’s explosion was the conclusion to a successful test flight.

True facts:
1) It shredded the launch pad. Debris from the launch pad was widely scattered.
2) Some engines failed to ignite. Others failed to operate during the flight.
3) It was terminated by the mission controllers, resulting in a huge explosion.
To suggest that it did not raise legitimate safety considerations is absurd.

I seem to remember the Space Shuttle being grounded for years as a result of the Challenger explosion.
The FAA gets twitchy when your stuff blows up.
From my own personal experience with federal regulators, most of these deficiencies were identified by SpaceX personnel.
And then the FAA found a few things that may or may not be deficiencies just so they look like they are competent and to remind SpaceX who is really in charge.

Considering the actions of the governmental agencies and the left’s obvious bias and hatred of Musk, I’ll keep with my default position that any action by the governmental agencies against Musk is political.
