Governor Ron DeSantis is pledging to "clean house" at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and says he will install his current, highly controversial Surgeon General at the nation's top public health agency, should the Florida Republican win the White House.

Speaking to Fox News Thursday night, behind a chyron that read "Liberals Bring Back COVID Hysteria," Governor DeSantis adamantly insisted his COVID polices are the right ones, as he praised Dr. Ladapo and pledged to install him at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
"We're going to clean house in places like the CDC," DeSantis said, "they didn't follow the science during COVID ... "So we will clean house with personnel. You're gonna have people in with me like my surgeon general in Florida, Dr. Joseph Ladapo," DeSantis continued. ... As a Govenor of a state, his approach was the correct one out of almost every other state.
Any state run by a democrat failed miserably.
Covid lockdowns were a States issue. Some handled it well, some, not so much.
I’m still not sure some folks around here grasp that fact.
What you want and claim you will do - and whether you get people approved are vastly different in DC
DeSantis will nominate who ever Glitch McConnell tells him he will approve and consent. Period. He will draw from the same fetid swamp rats that Trump had to deal with. Period.

Doubtful. Besides, McConnell will not be there in January 2025. I bet he’s gone by the end of this year, else they will be hiding him and wheeling him out periodically like they do now with Feinstein.

DeSantis ran and won the reelection for Governor of Florida for a 4 year term in November 2022. He rescinded his four year contract with the Florida voters and changed laws after the fact so he could have his cake and eat it too,
Also, Governor DeSantis was then Congressman DeSantis and what did Congressman DeSantis do about all that Hillary/Obama crap from 2012 thru 2018? FYI, DeSantis chaired the Subcommittee on National Security (Remember the illegal unsecured home server while she was Secretary of State?) and served on the Foreign Affairs (Hello Benghazi!) and Judiciary Committees (the deletion of 30,000 emails).
