Michigan State coach Mel Tucker is the subject of an ongoing university investigation into allegations of sexual harassment stemming from a complaint filed by Brenda Tracy in December 2022, the prominent rape survivor and activist against sexual violence told USA Today.
In the complaint, Tracy alleges Tucker made sexually suggestive comments and masturbated while she "sat frozen for several minutes" during a phone call on April 28, 2022. Tracy visited MSU at least three times as an activist starting in 2021 -- including once in which she was recognized as an honorary captain at a Michigan State spring football game -- and built a relationship with Tucker as part of her work on campus.

If you are a male coach, teacher or administrator at a university or college you are often surrounded by young, attractive women at the peak of their sexuality but equally immature and troubled. If the temptation becomes too great and you indulge, it never ends well.

I remember one kid in college had a ‘consensual encounter’ with a coed. The coed later called it rape, and the kid was toast, except for one thing...
He had an audio recording of the encounter, and that was the end of her case.
The kid was later asked why he recorded it. He said something like “I’d be an idiot not to record it”.

Not that I defend the coach’s actions (if he were at U of Mich, my inner Buckeye would condemn the man without trial).

The coach needs to explain why he thought transforming an interview into a consensual sexual encounter with a “visiting rape survivor/activist” was appropriate? Has he done that before?
At minimum, this guy lacks the judgment to be a coach or in any position of public trust above the level of “inmate”.
Gives new meaning to the MSU fan mantra of “Tuck comin’” . . .
The football coach is a negro, the female “victim” is White.
The investigation will go no where and instead of punishment, the coach will be rewarded.

As a buckeye fan, could care less about MSU, but maybe the school administration sees this as an opportunity to get out from the ridiculous contract he signed several years ago.
That would be too, I don't know, Constitutional?
Seriously, an accusation doesn't make one guilty. The Duke LaCross team comes to mind. False charges victimized the young men on that team.

The only reason to stay on an obscene call is so it can be traced. Or you are into it.
I’m judging the guy based on what HE admits to doing; their is no scenarion that makes his conduct acceptable. We could wait a thousand years for a real investigation of a football coach to occur, but what he admits to is enough to ban him from college or school sports.
