More than 2,000 people in Libya are feared dead in severe flooding, according to a Libyan leader, as Storm Daniel swept through the eastern part of the country.
The head of Libya’s eastern parliament-backed government, Osama Hamad, announced the death toll on Monday, according to a report from state news organization Libyan News Agency.
“Osama Hamad said in press statements that residential neighborhoods disappeared after the torrents swept them into the sea along with thousands of their residents, and the situation is catastrophic and unprecedented in Libya,” LANA reported.

Stormy Daniels went to Libya?
“We Came. We Saw. He Died”
unprecedented? let’s check with Noah...
Funny about that......
How are things now for the average citizen in Libya, and what is the body-count 10+ years after our dear Nobel Prize winner and puppet-in-chief killed Khaddafy and had the place turned upside down?
Unprecedented flooding? (Sigh)
Climate crisis!
He’s on his way folks. It’s gonna be a grand sight!!
At least Biden didn’t say no comment.
I worked with a man who was born in Libya and he said hiliary ruined the entire country when she killed kadaffi. He had to move to Egypt then eventually to the US.
I met a couple Libyans in Europe who are in same industry as I, and were attempting to invest in their country. Of course they were living in Europe. They hated Khaddafy and told some really interesting stories about him - for example, he once forbade Libyan media/sportscasters from saying the name of a well-known Libyan soccer player, because Khaddafy feared was getting too popular. They could only call him "#12" or whatever his jersey number was. Another was personal stories about how his henchmen could freely grab girls they found attractive off the street.
So I believe he was indeed a bastard.
But it seems the Libyan people are now suffering twice - under Khaddafy, and now, after Hillary and Obama, even more after him.
Par for the course in that part of the world.
Greening of the World
Earthquakes and flooding....hmmm...seems almost Biblical.
People with no sense of history tend to think any natural disaster and most natural events are unprecedented.
Almost...
How many FReepers will say these things have always happened and it’s normal day-to-day living?
Lots of people living today like the fool in Luke 12:20.
Better be ready...
You think if there was an Earthquake in Libya 100 years ago, anyone here would have even been aware of it?
I don’t know about you, but I can’t remember what I was wearing a week ago.
I guess my point is the frequency these things are happening shouldn’t be ignored.
Stormy Daniels “BLEW” through??? Wow, who knew?
