Hawaii's Gov. Josh Green is a bald-faced liar and claims that only 31 people are still missing from the Lahaina fire that burned so hot it cremated people.
It also appears that the medical examiner, Dr. Jeremy Stuelpnagel, can bring back the dead. Stuelpnagel “confirmed” 115 dead on the island weeks ago, but now says the number is 97. He claims the discrepancy is because some people were counted twice and some were actually animals.
Did he not learn the difference between Man and animals at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, where he graduated in 2008?
The claim is made that 74 bodies have been identified. That may or may not be true. The people who were cremated in the fire will never be identified.
Green is in a hurry to pass a bill that will have the burned-out properties cleared for free if owners allow the state to start immediately. Otherwise, the home and business owners will have to pay themselves and will be fined if they don’t do it quickly. Native Hawaiians say “slow down” and that they need time to figure out what to do.

Probably similar to the initial confusion after 9/11, when it was speculated tens of thousands might have succumbed. Then they started going through employee rosters, and discovered the total number was about 3,000. It always seemed a little strange - and way high - that the initial worst-case estimate for the fires was 1,000 dead. These aren’t skyscrapers. People have cars, can drive around.

There is talk that there may be 1,000+ people that were cremated. If so, most will never be identified. That is why they don’t want people entering the area.

People in cars were blocked from leaving by concrete blocks. They couldn’t drive out. The ones that left went offroad, whether on root or otherwise. I have no idea why they put up concrete blocks so quickly, unless the authorities wanted them dead.
Anyone can get on TV or the internet and claim that they have dozens of missing friends and relatives. And then someone else tells about THEIR dozens of missing friends and relatives … and a lot of them are either non-existent or (in the case of legitimately missing people) there are multiple people reporting the same missing ones.
Once they get to the point where they have to provide actual names and details about those “missing” people, reality has a way of taking over the narrative.
This is assuming that the government is being honest.
I don’t think the government is being honest. Who wants to admit to having messed up enough that 1000 people died?
The number of lawsuits would bankrupt Hawaii.
It doesn’t matter if the government is “honest.” Sooner or later those missing people will be identified by their friends and relatives. There are plenty of conspiracy-oriented websites that would gladly publish the names and other identifying characteristics of every missing person.
The truth, or its semblance, will eventually get known. We will not know the exact number, but we will have an idea.
It’s more than the 100 people the government might be claiming, but it’s probably not 3000 either. It’s somewhere in between.

Unless there were hundreds of aboriginals with no records among the missing, all of these victims will be identified by name, age and home address.
The reality is Lahaina property is the second most valuable property on Earth, second only to the financial district of London, worth millions of dollars per square foot.
