Confirming what I thought. He took his own life due to manic/bipolar depression. :-(

He was so brilliant on Y&R, especially portraying the grief when his character’s little daughter was killed by a car. He left soon after that. Wondering in hindsight if that part of his scripts was too much for him. It was utterly harrowing to watch him and his screen wife Chloe lose a child.
So very sad for his mother and sister, and his close colleagues, like Elizabeth Hendrickson, Amelia Heinle and Peter Bergman. They already went through this with Kristoff St John not long ago. It’s a tough business, being what you’re not.
I worked in the arts for 40 years, with the fragile personalities behind the beautifully projected fronts; and have experienced the suicide of a friend or colleague four times. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
