A moped-riding crew slammed into a 2-year-old girl, leaving her with a bloody leg wound, in a hit-and-run at a Bronx park late last month, cops said.
The two-wheel terrors were speeding through Pelham Bay Park around 5 p.m. Aug. 26 when they rammed into the toddler, who was with her family, police said late Monday — while releasing images of the brazen suspects.
The little girl was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition with cuts, bruises and pain to her right leg, authorities said.

Both those bikes have exhausts, so no, not ebikes.

Problem is people are afraid to be witnesses.
The police boast “we will protect you if you testify.” Absolutely not good enough.

I’m sure it would be interesting.
Mopeds have pedals like a bicycle and a small usually 2 or 3 HP 50cc motor. That kid’s bike in the picture isn’t a moped. An actual moped can’t really “speed” anyhow.

It’s New York City. They already don’t have cops. And the entire city is a dump. Should be condemned by the health department and closed down. And all residents should be shipped to Taiwan.

A moped can move an adult at >25 mph.
Can do a lot of damage to a 2 year old.

Right now the cops are protecting the criminals in many places.
A year of "you shoplift and the store employees beat the ever loving stuffing out of you" and I would bet shop lifting would drop.
Justice always comes, it may come dealt out fairly and with strict rules by who and how it happens or it comes at the hands of the people who are being damaged. But it always comes. And the Oxford solution is getting closer.
