40-year-old Michigan man who was known for his vigilante work that exposed child predators was shot to death on Friday night in Detroit.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) says that Robert Lee of Pontiac was at Universal Coney Island that night confronting a person he believed was a pedophile at a restaurant, WJBK reports.
Lee often used social media to pose as underage girls in an effort to expose and catch pedophiles, according to the Detroit News. He went by the name “Boopac Shakur” on Facebook and has more than 11,000 followers on the platform.
The man Lee accused of being a child predator on Friday was reportedly sitting at a restaurant table with another person. Lee approached both, allegedly punching the targeted suspect during the confrontation, per the station.
In response, the targeted suspect allegedly pulled out a knife while the other person pulled out a gun, the OCSO says, per the report. Lee was then shot multiple times, according to police. Lee died of his injuries while in the hospital.
"There were two people at the table, one he was mostly focused on and talking to and became heated with was not the individual who shot him — it was the other person on the opposite side of the table," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said, according to WJBK.
The suspected gunman is a 17-year-old boy, while the targeted suspect is 18 years old, the Detroit News reported. Deputies reportedly said that both the 17 and 18-year-old allegedly fled the scene after the shooting but were later apprehended.

As I’ve said on other crime threads, once the social contract is broken and the police and judicial system no longer upholds their end of the contract, then the people will start policing their own neighborhoods. One of my comments was “it will not be pretty” and another was “this will not end well”.

Which is why we arent to act like judge, jury and executioner as vigilantes. Look, cops often get stuff wrong and they do it for a living. Regular people with zero training will get stuff wrong, and if a stranger would come up to me out of the blue, in public attacking me physically, I’d defend myself as well.
That’s an extremely dangerous way to expose the guilty.
This man may have had the best of intentions, but just maybe he got carried away with wanting to put on a show for all his YouTube followers.

When the vigilante mob takes over the duties of law enforcement, every crime will carry the death penalty, justice will be swift, and once in a while, the wrong person gets snared.
This is why a civilized society entrusts this position to law enforcement professionals. Unfortunately, increasingly we no longer have a civilized society. Justice will take place one way or the other. Either the cops do it or the angry mob will.
Right now we're in this weird centerpoint on the pendulum swing where the cops won't enforce the laws but they won't let the citizens enforce them either. This centerpoint won't last.

Most people in this country do not share common morality. What haplens when you run into someone who wants to deal with you for doing something they think you did that they have a problem with?

I’m surprised this hasn’t happened more often. These pedos all look (and are) so sketchy. Chris Hansen was lucky that one guy only killed himself.
Youtube’s been cracking down on these pedo busters. While they can do a good service, they often spoil the criminal case. Seen them walk up to people in stores and stuff and just start screaming at them. Risky business to try.

That's the standard operating procedure for Marxists. "Destroy the existing system (in this case, Western civilization)" so their dictatorship can be installed.
