A New York Appellate Judge on Friday smacked down far-left Judge Arthur Engoron and paused his order to dissolve Trump Org.

Last week Judge Engoron issued an order to rescind Trump’s business licenses as punishment in Letitia James civil lawsuit. Engoron effectively ordered the dissolution of Trump Org.

“Engoron ordered that some of Trump’s business licenses be rescinded as punishment, making it difficult or impossible for them to do business in New York, and said he would continue to have an independent monitor oversee Trump Organization operations.” – AP reported last week.

“If not successfully appealed, the order would strip Trump of his authority to make strategic and financial decisions over some of his key properties in the state.” – AP reported.

Last week Trump said his civil rights were violated after Engoron issued the order: “My Civil rights have been violated, and some Appellate Court, whether federal or state, must reverse this horrible, un-American decision,” Trump said on Truth Social last week.

The Appellate Division stayed Engoron’s order on Friday.

Judge Peter Moulton Friday afternoon halted Engoron’s order to dissolve the Trump Org. after day 5 of Letitia James’ Stalinist show trial.

The Judge however declined to pause the fraud trial.

ABC News reported:

A New York appellate judge declined to pause Donald Trump’s ongoing civil fraud trial, after attorneys for Trump sought a stay of the trial while they appeal Judge Arthur Engoron’s summary judgment ruling last week that decided the core of the case.

Judge Peter Moulton issued the ruling minutes after hearing oral arguments from both sides. While he did not pause the trial, he did stop the immediate cancelation of Trump’s business certificates that Engoron had ordered last week.

“This is everything owned or controlled by the defendant. Once you dissolve you dissolve,” defense attorney Christopher Kise argued in an afternoon hearing convened at the Appellate Division’s First Department. “It’s chaos. It’s chaos right now.”

Eric Trump responded to the New York Appellate Court’s decision to pause the dissolution of Trump Org.

“We thank the Appellate Division for staying the NY Attorney General’s and Judge Engoron’s overzealous attempt to cancel our New York business certificates. Judge Engoron’s order erroneously sought to adjudicate the rights of non-party business entities that employ nearly 1,000 hard-working New Yorkers, have never been accused of any wrongdoing and, were never given their day in court – in clear violation of their fundamental Constitutional rights and Due Process. We will continue to vigorously defend our company and our incredible employees from this politically-motivated persecution,” Eric Trump said.

Judge Engoron is the typical arrogant judge who decides first, ignores the law, and then declares “if you don’t like my decision, you can file an appeal”. Appellate courts charitably call what he does “error” rather than “misconduct”.

As VDH said:
1. Would any of these actions against Trump be taking place if he were not running for president?
2. Would any of these actions be taken against any other person in the normal course of business?
NO NOT AT ALL
A very dangerous kangaroo court.

May Engoron be entered into the annals of history as “The Hanging Judge”

Just not for the reason the label was created.

A very humiliating ruling for James and Engoron......not to mention the humiliation for Joe Demento.

If this kangaroo process is not permanently stopped, New York and the rest of the country may as well just close their doors. Nobody will try to do business there.

Judges issue these kinds of orders when there is a high liklehood of the moving party prevailing. AG James should be disbarred based on 1) Having no knowledge that Trump had done anything wrong; 2) she then announced, essentially, that she was going to “get” Trump. Lavrenty Beria would be proud of his fellow Marxist.

This leftwing activist judge never backed down from his absurd claim that Mar-a-Lago was worth only $18 million, when in reality, it is worth hundreds of millions. Instead, the kangaroo court jester plowed ahead at full speed.

This is how our enemy functions... ignore the truth and vigorously pursue their destructive anti-American agenda.

This post yesterday aged well:

The good news is that Judge Douchelord has a history of being frequently overturned on appeal.

"Engoron, a few years younger than Trump at 74, spent his early years in Queens, about 3.8 miles (6 kilometers) east of the former president's childhood home.

Engoron's family later moved to East Williston on Long Island, where he ran track and wrote for the student newspaper at The Wheatley School, a public high school in Old Westbury, New York, and graduated in 1967.

A proud alum, Engoron is the founder and director of the school’s alumni association and writes an online newsletter with news about fellow graduates who’ve nicknamed him the “Mayor of Wheatley.” He even posted a link last year to an article about his involvement in the Trump case.

While attending Columbia University in the 1960s, Engoron drove a taxi — a fact he revealed a decade ago while ruling against then-Mayor Michael Bloomberg's plan to expand yellow cab service outside New York City. A state appeals court later reversed that decision.

Engoron's rulings are rife with biographical information, part full-disclosure, part nostalgia. He revealed in one decision that he participated in “huge, sometimes boisterous, Vietnam War protests.” He’s also described himself as a free-speech absolutist and said he's been a member of the American Civil Liberties Union since 1994.

Engoron got his law degree from New York University in 1979. He's worked as a litigator and was a law clerk for 11 years for a judge in the same court where he now sits. Engoron also taught piano and drums and played keyboard in what he describes as a “moderately successful” bar band. He's been married three times and has four children, according to his Wheatley alumni page biography.

Engoron frequently peppers his rulings with song lyrics, movie quotes and the occasional New York City history lesson. He's quoted Bob Dylan and Shakespeare and movies like “City Slickers” and the Marx Brothers classic “Duck Soup.” He signs them with a logo of sorts, his initials, AE, drawn together in a circle."
